Women certain names now when you are called honey for me it's all in that delivery you know somebody says it in a tone to give you an example I could sit here right now and say to you hi honey hey do it or I could say hi honey or honey it's all in that delivery and I think it's it's the why you say it which could have fame paper so the woman who said honey to you plainly said in a friendly why and you weren't bothered by it and it was a woman who knew me anyway I knew she knew me so I wasn't I wasn't put out by it per se but I think it's an American import here and obviously some countries people are more easy to. Communicate with even up north I think you can say that some people are more lax than my are down in the absolutely. Spot on just I really appreciate the phone call and very quickly Yemen noise issues some noise issues it's good to go to a doctor who's understanding because they can get some noises start also environmental health departments councils can obviously step in at times and I don't know whether the woman actually takes antidepressants or anything could Toller not being judgment in that way but I found times oldfashioned antidepressants having outside of what helped me come the next on the way is next calls noise nighttime noises boiler and washing machine etc. Interesting stuff John I really appreciate the phone call a smart show you call me again thank you very much and I would talk to Bob in a 2nd Bobbie study that Astrid is on the line as well in Norfolk Astrid Good evening to you good evening just say so we were talking and Joe mentioned it there as well about 5 minutes ago we spoke to an expert in America about this there's this woman that was spoken to who in the last year has experienced this high pitched humming sound. She's gone to their east people and they say it's can't be real Surely you're not really experiencing that it's destroying her life what's happened to you you know to understand their Saturdays on my family couldn't hear it. And everyday tell Marcel the whole because it's so very high pay Yeah and this went on I would say for about a year and that was now because he could hear it and then suddenly it must have been picked up by other people because we lived about 3 or 4 rows away from nestlé factory all right and apparently I think he stole to new off eventually found the. Basine is down a trio ride and the sound was carrying all that was and they sent letters around to our state to tell us so we could get it cleared up thank goodness she did but I mean trying to scrub because a lot of people right now be thinking this can't be true so you went through this for a year as well a bit like this lady we spoke to and for that year when you were telling people I can hear this high pitched humming noise do people think that you go mad Well they take a look at your literally Yeah yeah I train and I did feel one person who'd heard it but they do say I often hear things other people so you know way way or a different matter to how do I have not been for that investigation and that coffee company finding out in actual fact it was their problem that struggle that could have gone on forever cautionary tale. When you know all right you still got it after lunch. Didn't get rid of it or you know but at least you knew what it was a lot of various points it was better than other times oh yeah yeah cuz I don't do it all the time of she helped 24 hours a day. So I soon phone call I should I really appreciate that and Happy New Year to you and Happy New Year here thank you very much as Astrid in Norfolk some really interesting calls coming in about this that Bob is on the line in hopes in Norfolk Good evening to you Barby could leave me Justin. Was also come on about how maybe because I saw the trouble with my eyes all my life and on and off lots of tips from to those. Which is which is a does I don't get it all the time but now and again but since we closed here I get how many sounds as well and it's totally different to the. The sounds of always had before I was never I've never mentioned it to anybody Yeah because it's just really weird you know and I notice it caught a lot particularly when I if I go to page off an artist for strikes rate Yeah but if I don't make it starts then yeah and it's exactly to sorry you missed the other paper had described it and it's totally different from the 6 and this is the the article from on and off and I've often thought about it because it sometimes of wanted to fit in some sort of multitask. And we live in a very tiny roads in just getting just up there on the corner we've got one of those electricity places. Often think you know after a few in everybody talking you know right I'm wondering if it's something to do with that well the thing is unless you go around there and talk to them you won't know and it's one of those things Bobbie and I will say when I go out and talk to people if they can look me in the I and tell me that story if they can do that and I'm quite good at detecting whether or not somebody is lying to me and to see this woman the other day she was a sends because she said you can't hear it purr right now I can hear this is 247 if I sit back on my so further I can hear it more of it like you said there when she goes to bed she can hear it more and it's just there it's almost like torture to it yeah yeah. Fortunately torture but it goes Mom We made it just bought them a you know it's just so different from the normal saying that I get. And I suppose it's possible that I mean different people probably have different even frequent anyway yeah and this is probably why you know other people don't pick it up I think tonight Bobbie I think that we have opened a can of worms are on a list right. Now so so you'd like a song as well what would you like to supply for you tonight Bob Well I don't know anything about the Blue Moon is it possible to play a blue moon by the Mars. Yes So you are no moon expert but you would like a Moon Song. We like it Bob we thank you so much for the call all the best I can now just by that said Bobby and help keep the calls coming so it's not even great company as you are every single Saturday we couldn't and we wouldn't do the show without you. You you can phone it's oh sorry for 5 us see 50 double I was 7 all you can text me you can text me tonight it's a one story double story but you must stop that message with the word just in so all sorts of things we're talking about. Obviously the photo as it was I can feel requests you know that but secondly the words Honey does that offend you without somebody tonight in their seventy's whose phone they show because he said to a light is it will get into his car Heiko just how you doing the next thing you know the police are is front door the woman is compliant The police came to his house and they said to him into days our age you just cannot do that scandalous also this high pitched humming sound now a lot of people are in touch the not because they can hear it or they have heard it apparently 2 percent a paper affected a you if you will let me know I was 345-3050 w. 7. Mama bomb a bomb. Bomb bomb bomb a bomb a bomb. Above This. Was a good. Day. Thank you. Justin across the eastern counties. Using the city music northern soul my next guest famous for this. Summer. And she's with me in the studio right now good evening Lou right good evening to you welcome to the show I know old soul music so much because it may. It's me get up it makes me shake. Absolutely no one sits down when you know the song comes on. So before we talk about your new single Let's talk about this one plan right now last summer love and for those that haven't heard the story harmless It's just amazing Tell us more about us or Ok well I was 13 years old and I'm going back to 964 and I give my age away you know cancer. And I was a schoolgirl and I went up to London to be those recording booths in worth and I put 2 shillings in and recorded a song on acetate and walked around to the nearest Recording Studios in those days it was py records up in Marble Arch was 13 my parents know nothing about it basically I left as it was something I like to listen to this and 68 weeks later a letter came through the post saying they were very impressive what they heard would I come up for an audition and basically I got a year's contract at the age of 30 I mean when I saw that story now everything these days is about the x. Factor or sin or somebody who's saying goes on there or any of these talent shows everyone guys are searching you were actually a 13 year old kid getting your own contract with any save a show anything like that you it was it was all me and it was it was a rare thing in those as you say nowadays you've got x. Factor you've got the voice you do sorts of things it's something I wanted to do ever since I was at and I 9 years old and I just I just did it you know on the spur of the moment and you know when people say living the dream. It was great great great great opportunity so that was one of 2 singles with power and here's the real fascinating thing because the northern soul sing in this country is huge and that soul became a no. And soul and it was very quiet in all the clubs everyone was loving it but you had absolutely no idea I mean you look like they're so good you know I it is liberal is a real fairytale I mean I've I've carried on singing all my life different genres of music and in the seventy's when all this Northern Soul was going on in the week and Casino and everything I was actually on the capper a circuit totally different type of singing I was actually on new faces on t.v. But at that time I went on to my married name and it's a bit like sliding to is it obviously just wasn't meant to be in the seventy's I thought of going on to my my name Lorraine silver somebody might have said Oh my goodness this is that girl that's got lost some a lover thing but I didn't know anything about this until the mid eighty's when a good friend of mine who's actually now my husband. Was reading Gleeson so magazine and a d.j. Up north had listed last summer love as one of his award time Nov and so classics as the record I made when I was 13 we're talking about everything and I covered I just uncovered this whole world that I knew nothing about all the D.J.'s for me I found them and it just opened up this as I say this whole new world it be released in the late seventy's after becoming massive that. It's released on classics and sold thousands and thousands of copies whereas when it was 1st issued in the mid sixty's it didn't sell because my manager at the time had a massive number one hit with The Overlanders during the Beatles' evolution so cool little rain server had her 5 minutes of stardom and that was is that really it is a fairytale story and look you know law and your record was the original vinyl records that you made when you were 13 years old they are selling for an absolute fortune. They do and you know what all my relatives at the time had a copy and they say you know joke about it they used to use it is as a tikka stand because now as I say I know I know that they go well for over $33400.00 pound original copy and if I signed it it goes even more. Thought so because they found you you found them the northern soul in the 70s you were able to resurrect your career and you've been singing on the northern soul circuit ever since I have I have been I've been very very lucky I now tour with the original Edwin Starr Band Yeah who are grade 9 July and July started when it's brother fronts the band and I go on the show as a special guest Northern Soul live and it is a brilliant show so I'm lucky that you know I can still carry on doing what I've always wanted love to do commit a story up so next week a before we play your new single Saturday the 13th you've got a gig a local gig in the eastern region of the will it's there it's important bars and yes correct we were there last January when the storm we're back where by popular demand so yeah looking forward to that but I'm out with a gig this is on tolt an exclusive we're about supply your new single this is the 1st time we ply All right e o tell us more about this truck Well Ok it's actually taken me 53 years to do a follow up single so I'm possibly maybe going to be in the Guinness Book of Records. End September I was at Skegness Skegness for the Northern Soul Survivors we're kind it's a massive massive I mean 8000 people up there and one of the original D.J.'s on the Seine and living. So me perform and said I've got to record you I thought wow this is great so he got me in the studio. He co-wrote the song and I read some of the lyrics as well and we recorded this song Yes So this is the 1st time you've been back into a into a studio to record a single file of a heart of a century a single Yeah because I had my Nova so sessions cd in 2004 but in terms of a single in times of the single Yeah it is I know I don't have a record it's going to I think yeah I'm going to I'm going to delve into this I love telling it to finding out all these different things yeah I mean it's cold standing at the intersection so if you don't buy that it might be a little bit cringe but I'll get apply this I'll probably get a doll so why in the studio in front of you don't mind I did not I don't go I go for a right so who's with us in the studio this is her new single where she will give you all of them the date I was in the 2nd this is the 1st time it's been played all right it was called standing at the intersection on b.b.c. Like a right yes. Thank . You just say the radio is with me in the studio right now I was moving and I was grooving I'm sorry but when you know me so comes all like help myself she asked. Sheila right it does doesn't it isn't and nobody sit still I say when Northern Soul Come on everyone is welcome and around it's fun isn't it it's fun it's when and if you are sick and still it's not the place for you get out and you get a pall to go out. So that is officially out today for download where can people get a single Ok they can get it on i Tunes as they say as from today it's out and that was the 1st right. You have got the 1st step to come to The Music Man. The rightness and thank you so much for coming in and I really really appreciate your time love that track as well ready to bust a lot with that with the tours never seen as a kid Northern Soul going away absolutely and you know it's coming out on vinyl as well at the end of January is that's got to be down now what about here down on my set and nothing's enough I went into my carriage and got all of my old vinyl back out and I went and bought a record player we did we did you like your lead to play I doubt my tracks. What they originally when you're starting if you still got some of those got Yeah if you were in mint condition they are absolutely yes I should take that one yeah fair play where I thank you so much and I'm sure we should talk in the future they go right so with a Northern Soul Star joining us here in the studio. Keep Bear with me it was very soon a lot of phone calls about this humming sound which is very very hard to prove but we heard from Donna who has had well for the last year a lot has been destroyed by this humming sound which she found it very hard to prove to Helen going to Helen and I guess well. Program how all this is Helen not to Charlie learns Barisan yet how I had learned through. Oh happy new year and happy New Year to you so I'm sure the lines were to the humming sound I wanted to go force. Well. We had a few years ago we had to hold a pen node on our roof. And I'm totally down next door neighbors and and. Up in the up in the low life yeah I'm still here I'm still high so I have asked him a lot. They set up they have books up in the loft and they joined up term I need to quit the whole Rock Island and you know when I said I can hear that running and I wondered if the person next door to this lady got that in her or her loft possibly So this noise even at the solar panels poems in the building and can you if you can Helen just try and describe this humming sound it's a can for for. It it's. My husband doesn't hear that but so you have to figure you do. This interesting you know if you question. If he I don't pick up a high pick frequent say I pick up a low low low pick because I'm dead. And I can hear that and it it's because. That must become a direct Christine pope it comes from below and it must come through. Them is and then it had to come down down to the chant can Bach and it connected it's not actually connected if anything happened to Astral upin old it out all at the place where the solar panels. But the thing is are Helen you've obviously done a little bit of homework here and you've detected where this noise is coming from. If you've got no idea where the noise is coming from and you're saying to people Look there was this constant humming sound and other people can't hear it people think that you're barking mad and you know yeah I tell you what. I thought it was. There were I don't want to laugh at you Helen but that impression did sound a bit like a wasp we're going to say it. In a main in the main. You know locked in there's nothing out there that's fascinating just before you go how would you feel Helen if a man that you'd never met before called you honey how would you feel about that. And I'm mad What about the word love that I don't know I mean I know rank order. I live by. I think a lot of people are with you when it comes to the word but I love not for you as well Helen thank you so much for the call Happy New Year Take care now. By live Helen there I mean we have had tonight and I think a lot of people think this is a bit of a crazy story but we know they're ever going to shy away from doing those stories on this program was spoken to a lady called Donna who is hearing this high pitched humming sound nobody else can hear it apart from her and she said the last year of my life has just been hell because this noise is 247 she said that next door had some work done about a year ago on their pipes and ever since then she hears this humming sound. Let something like this ever happen to you if so give me coal it's 345-3050 double 7 also mentioned as hell I'm about the words Honey. By love there's this lady this week who's complained about us and when she complained to Virgin trying to buy tweeted a back and said Well you've been called Honey what would you prefer or love not right not great p.r. Since they have apologized in their defense but those words if somebody a random a said those words to you genuinely would you be offended by that. So Joe just text me thank you John I once read a story start your text message with the word Justin. Listeners always pick music on the show and that's the way it's going to be he wants to hear what a full carriage. Lead singer I suppose and how long. The 2 hours that Scott's. To Sandra who's in backhauls Hello Sandra Oh yes then Good evening welcome to the program Sandra we have opened a can of worms on the show tonight talking about this high pitched humming sound which some people here some people don't want to be got for some are Sandra Well I used to live where I could hear what I think was the coolest 1st see. A conditioning of a shot right and the stupid where I live and I saw this in an air show. And obviously Sheriff Allison and I and change the headboard which is metal. So that's what I have been hearing Yeah and I didn't change the host Saundra this is blowing mime little mind here so you could hear the hum yes and you've changed your headboard and now you can't hear this humming sound no no no but I've been fortunate you know obviously you know this Times and others but engine has helped enormously while so the headboard you had was metal. Yeah I must stop having a little bit of little interest in ope
