For you gift boxes that set out all across the force as well for there is an ops is a little bit of find out more about the charity itself just prices being find out more off to rope stuff so Christmas isn t just. The Christian ever wished you could spread your wings. Right now you could be applying for the 2017 The ropes I love my life let s face it we own I somebody thinks to tell you all of our rights Forces Radio is B.B. s c. Official full says radio station rush we asked d.s. Now if you ve been posting overseas at Christmas in recent years an email received a box of morale from the charity u.k. For you he send out a piece of time to all locations of the festive season b.f.s. Is just crazy he s been speaking to director and trust a Sally little about where old gap the charity was established in 2005 it was following a small box that was sent out in 2004 just as a one off and sent to all the service personnel who were serving overseas on Christmas Day but away from their families friends loved ones except for and watch these boxes in clade it s a real mixture of things the contents are acceptable all over the world no matter where they re stationed and there s nothing that s going to offend host country the mix of novelties useful items Christmas things games a Christmas card from the charity there s usually about 20 different things in the box that must be such a great morale base especially for those overseas at Christmas Oh yes we get tremendous feedback and for some people it s sometimes the only Christmas present that they receive on Christmas Day because unfortunately sometimes families don t send their parcels in time for Christmas Day So it s a great morale booster and then looking forward to Christmas 2016 what have you got planned for us we have to manage the packing of the gods is very very early so we re even now starting to plan for 2017 Christmas books so the 2016 box has been. Decided they will be in pack and quite a lot of them have already been sent because they have to go to the Navy ships and far reaching operational locations and how many do you think you ve sent out my father s yet thankfully a reduced number which means that there are less personnel working overseas away from their families on Christmas Day but this year we re planning on nearly 8000 say 7800 boxes so that s still a lot of people away from their families on Christmas Day We have very very good support from p j h Q And the Chief of Defense people stuff who provide the opera cations information for us and they let us know how many people are going to be away so we couldn t send these boxes without help from the m.o.d.e. You talked about the feedback from the past on themselves receiving these boxes most of feedback live from the wider community and also whacking with the m a j c m o d l very very supportive of it and when we talk to the families they re also very supportive and we do keep in touch with the service families of this is as well she passed me what does it mean to send these gifts to Christmas Well I have actually been with the charity since it started in 2005 and my reason for getting involved was that my husband spent 35 years in the army he was not used to be away at Christmas but there were Christmases that he was away so it s very important and I do appreciate how the families feel and how the servicemen and women feel when they re not with their families or Christmas time and you ve only got 2017 in hand already but the people out that oversees 7 over Christmas do you have a message for them. So how could a Christmas Day you can away from your family we help you in doing. A. of Christmas will there be no. T.v.
