The Tories won 318 seats 8 short of a majority in the past Mrs May said she would reflect on what she needed to do in the future but important to have a government that can take the negotiations through that s what I m doing forming a government I obviously wanted a different result last March and I m sorry for all those colleagues who lost their seats who didn t deserve to lose and of course all reflect on what happened the defense secretary s a Michael Fallon has kept his job as to reason may confirms the cabinets of her minority government the chancellor Philip Hammond foreign secretary Boris Johnson Home Secretary Amber Rod Breck s it Secretary David Davis also state ports Westminster correspondent James Hirst says the Michael had been tipped for promotion by the Prime Minister s looking for stability at a volatile time for defense in particular he wrote the most high profile conservative Cabinet members the campaign trail there have been rumors perhaps that he might be going to the Treasury because there have been rumors that Philip Hammond his days are be over but Philip Hammond also reconfirmed So Mark Ruffalo staying still has to resign my Troy s not to rock the boat for the 1st time in 20 years Labor gained seats 29 in all giving them 261 M.P. s the party s leader Jeremy Corbin called on to reason made to resign the Shadow Foreign Office minister Catherine West said they given the electorate hope for the future in a campaign you need to touch people s hearts and I felt that was lacking from the Tories and actually I think somehow labor with it s person to person style of campaigning really touch people s emotions and their liberal Democrats now have 12 seats for more than they won in 2015 months their former leader Nick Clegg lost in Sheffield Hallam Ukip support collapsed with their share of the vote fulling by almost 11 percent. That lead to pull no schoolhouse resigned the Ukip defense. Said you Kippa should be the policy of the Armed Forces that if he were a serving soldier he would not have voted for Ukip based on what the party offered on defense. Gains in the 2015 general election slashed by 20 states 3 lawyers accused of improperly pursuing torture claims against British troops in Iraq have been cleared of any wrongdoing. Les know your thoughts and opinions j. Out b s b s. In the. Same. me. A. A. You. Paul says Brandy and this is a powerful new movie coming out soon it s cold a good day to die. It s a documentary which will be of interest to many of our armed forces audience and the director of the project can tell us why as we welcome Howard. Thanks for joining us yes our legs tell us about a good day to die Hawkeye had the so st 6 years in the making and it s a feature length documentary about British consul photographer Jason p how he devoted his life on his big adventure which are actually crazy to narrow narrowly escaped death and your journey instantly in Colombia Iraq Levanon and Afghanistan dangerous conflict that have shaped say present day when the film unravels the truth of what we see and most of us have not seen the news and what it takes to get the pictures published Absolutely there is a great deal of them we never knew that it was that difficult for example to get pictures published never knew he had to go through the kind of rigmarole the Jason had to go through straight from the off in this movie we re Afghanistan with that Bainbridge and there s an i.e.d. Day and you re seeing the conflict it s up close it s real and it s harrowing Then we shift to the story of the photojournalist Jason how that you ve mentioned he s in Colombia a different country it s an. Double rollercoaster in only a few minutes then a new tile in some sense I editing this together must be one of the hottest jobs of your life as he said 6 years in the making Yeah I m still dealing with the last 6 years of my life but I work with Jason I would protest for 5 years and so we got footage for 5 years and after after 5 years when we finished shooting we got all the interviews done and I met all the other journalists that are in the film and everything else you know you wake up one morning and wondering where to begin with and so that took like a year for me to do with the whole editing process I mean literally I literally ended up cutting one image for her purse Tori sticking it on the wall and then literally filled my whole living room up with all the stories and put in a 3 piece of paper in front of me and started with open up cut to go through here and here there because for me there was a conscious decision not to go chronologically as I want to story slink rather than just take to set a Visual Basic to reveal Jason s life also rather than just focus on Jason s incredible portfolio portfolio work also one of his work to be part of that story so that literally took me a couple of months on paper before we even started editing and then when we finally started editing my 1st ad it was 4 hours over 4 hours long so I really realized I knew the good editor in the work with a guy by name a 106 Trumbull who was brutal with his comments on what we have to take out and put back in which you can keep everything else and we managed to cut it down you go to 2 to movie length which as he said from 4 hours is quite an achievement and compared to what you thought going in what do you now think of the work of these kind of war zone photojournalists why finding credible thing is until you start really looking into this is not something you really think about but having worked with Jason for 5 years and then I have the upmost respect for the profession I mean these people are out there risking their lives to bring back to to. Gruesome images from the front lines or any other concept that we can t even begin to imagine it sounds like you ve dedicated pretty much the last 6 years to make such a powerful movie but why why did you want to tell a story since my previous film in 2007 and then in 2010 I decided I wanted to make another film and I wanted to do a biography something I ve not done before and I wanted to and I wanted somebody who had an incredible story I m going to be truth I just really want to be fascinated by somebody so after a few months of researching online and speaking to friends gave his name came up in a conversation I didn t set out to make a story about Warren or conflict zone or concept photographer but after initial research and Jason I found I found that his life is like events it s 810000. 3 hours 1010 was a conflict photographer and his name would be Jason how even just doing initial online research I was blown away by his work so you Southie got drawn into it but I mean why the time to a good day a good day to die hawk a hey I mean we see the top one Jason Tom at the end but what does it mean the title is derived from because it was believed that the Civil War The Crazy Horse shot is Ok as a war crime in the culture this means let s roll but when Jason have to tattoo in Colombia he was told it meant a good day to die so it s a combination of both which you could say is very apt for Jason s chose chose a profession Yes yes I didn t know the spur interest they are all the stories you had which was the one that had the biggest effect on you so that s a tough question because for me it s more than just a single story it s based on my experience with Jason it is about the damage that happens to the soul when one is exposed to the horrors of war on the frontline of 12 years for toll is I mean we follow I mean I follow Joseph from on the frontlines a simple life away from war where Jason to spend the last few years healing a very bruised. Look at the world I m dealing with since it s associated with p.t.s.d. How old were you hopes for this film I think the best is that the audience walk away with a better understanding what s going on behind the scenes you know and if people question I mean just because it s in print or on Facebook or in the newspaper is intelligent it doesn t necessarily mean it s our everything it s all the news it s all the truth it s it s it doesn t mean nothing s been Amid it either yeah you know so I So I think the best thing is I think people should question a bit more and where can people had for more information about seeing more some notion I mean it s only available to watch across the u.k. Side of the 16th of June which I find very exciting because we were playing on the chooser the 20th of June in the region streets the cinema with a full and I ll be on a Skype soon afterwards how old month piece it s been an absolute pleasure thank you so much to talk to us today about a good day to die thank you for having me on the so.
