now to the big stories in the week ahead. we begin with the president's plans for the week. >> reporter: after trying out his charm offensive on republicans for the last week and a half, president obama will work on international diplomacy. on tuesday, two days after st. patrick's day, he we will comes the prime minister of ireland to the white house and then mr. obama embarks on a very important trip overseas to the middle east where he'll sit down with israeli leaders and also meet with leaders of palestinian authority before making his way to jordan. during this trip mr. obama is expected to issue a very strong warning to iran they will not be able to develop nuclear weapons. >> coming up this week on wall street a host of major companies will report their earnings. we'll hear from fedex, general mills, nike, and tiffany. the fed announces its latest rate decision. that comes on wednesday. we'll be listening very closely to comments from central bankers on overall economic recovery especially after a particularly strong february jobs report.
