What we saw was the drip, drip, drip of stories and leaks about Michael Flynn. Who did he talk to and what did he say . Essentially it became too much for the white house to deal with. It is a thing where none of the individual stories would be enough to fire the National Security advisor. It was a huge problem and they decided the easy way was to get rid of the problem. Get rid of Michael Flynn. It is a stunning fall from grace from a guy who is close to the president during the campaign. Very close to him all throughout the transition. Crucial in appointing a ton of officials remain in the administration. Briefing the president every day. Some say more than anyone else. The big question is who will take over that role . Who is the president s right hand man . No matter what he did on russia, his role was bigger and more important. It will be big shoes to fill. During the transition when the president elect was taking the briefings, we were told general flynn is briefing him several times a day. That was his main conduit to information. It begs the question. Would general flynn have the conversation about sanctions without the president elects knowledge . That is some the president has not answered directly. Not yet.
