Maria any insight you can give us in terms of how the fbi will handle this now. They have the warrant to start reviewing the emails. Tell us what takes place now, ron . Im quite confident that they have the emails that they previously recovered in the case in automated fashion so that when they pull in the current emails, they can compare essentially list a to list b and eliminate that which theyve already seen and assess and they understand what has classified information in it if it does and they put that on one stack and then you have the stack of the new, and then theyre going to have to categorize that and understand how much this relates to state department work, how much is unrelated because its weiners or someone elses and then start this process again where presumably they have potential classified information in the new stack circulated to others in the Intelligence Community who may have been responsible for classifying it originally, go through that process again which is often lengthy to let the other parties opine on whether its classified or not and then come back and come to some sort of conclusion as to whether these were properly stored and then go back and ask all the obvious questions. How did they get there, what was the mechanism . Go ahead. Dagen one of the questions has come up that people have asked me in the last couple of days, we know based on our reporting at fox news that these Anthony Weiner devices, laptops, smartphones were handed over to the fbi on october the third about 5 00 p. M. That the fbi executed search warrant and were handed via Anthony Weiners team, why did it take this long for comey to say this to the American People . Yeah, thats a good question, a fair question and deserves an answer. The fbi is going to go through the known legal processes to lawfully access information and here it sounds like we have devices that have multiple contributors and like the fbi, if they were to walk into a scene where they have a search warrant and theyre looking for evidence of drug tasking trafficking and they find a body, what they will do go back out and go back to a judge and make a case for conducting expanded search for Something Different than they walked in originally because they want to make sure they are on firm legal ground. It could that they were working through the process with doj prosecutors or here at doj or a combination and during the election season when you get all of those folks involved, theres going to be a timing issue thats probably going to slow you down. Yeah, i think when we had this extraordinary this case is extraordinary, the timing is extraordinary. The fact that we are looking at jim comey as the villant here is ridiculous and extraordinary because it was Hillary Clinton and her team and their silence and their actions that put this in a volt during her entire time at state department and two years after only to be discovered has started a clock on the fbi. So i think when comey stepped up to the plate, when Loretta Lynch damaged in the meeting, theres doj judgment. Comey stepped into the breach. He testified for hours on capitol hill, he made his statement and i think in doing all of that comey put himself on the hook and now he feels responsible.
