Details on the new report that sent zillow shares to the basement. A new eye to prevent overbooked flights. We have the story as well after turmoil at united all year. All the stories and joining me to talk about it Fox Business NetworkDagen Mcdowell, back, former Goldman Sachs partner and Peter Kiernan and andrew peek, good to have you here. Thanks so much. Maria good morning, everybody. I missed you so much, dagen. Dagen i missed you too. Do we have Health Care Reform yet . [laughter] maria you did not miss that much. Dagen news is that now Lindsey Graham has some sort of bipartisan plan b surprise proposal that hes going to unveil today, okay. Maria they only have an opportunity for one no rand paul says its a no. Hes been upset with this plan from the getgo. He will be joining us by the way. Dagen Susan Collins looks like a no and spreatly convening a group of senators to talk about what they like and what they dont like. I think that happens today as well, but a lot of tap dancing and not a lot of moving forward. Maria what does this mean . 42 votes in favor, a very tough slide to get there. Rand paul and collins, all kind of saying the same thing. Thats right. Three of missing votes at least on the other side from the moderates, i dont see a win set there where they go further towards a bill that rand paul likes and one that sages some of the concerns of usan collins. Maria we have a great lineup ahead. Former whitewater independent counsel robert ray. Chairman of ubs is here. Kentucky senator rand paul will weigh in on Health Care Bill and jim grant is with us talking about janet yellen and Interest Rates. First breaking news, President Trump landed in paris, hes there this morning where he is meeting with french president Emmanuel Macron ahead of bastille Day Celebrations, thats tomorrow. President trump expected to attend luncheon before meeting with french president today. Joining us right now congressman Claudia Tenney of new york, former Small Business as well, congresswoman, so good to see you. Thank you, great to be on this morning. Maria do whats do you expect out of the meeting from President Trump and president macron . Its interesting that the president is engaging in so much symbolism. The trip is symbolic of reigniting freedom, and interesting that he keeps going back to historic roots. If you remember in g20, newly elected macron created his own party and pushed his way to be next to the president. I thought was really interesting considering theyre not exactly the same on their policy but i think he recognizes that this president is trying to restart our relationships with our biggest, our oldest ally, actually in celebrating bastille, i think theyll be doing a celebration of remembering world war i. These are long standing remembrances, the president is really trying to bring us to a new place, i think as americans. Maria its interesting to see the two together. They look like they have a rapport. Janet yellen will be facing second day of testimony this morning in front of Senate Financial services committee. She delivered upbeat assessment to your committee yesterday which listed markets to new highs, the economy is healthy, healthy enough for fed to raise rates. Lets see what she had to say when she spoke to you and colleagues and specifically after comments from jpmorgan ceo jamie diamon who warned about the potential disruption that could come as a result of the wind down. Here she is. Weve not heard significant concerns or seen a significant Market Reaction so we have indicated we expect to begin this if the economy stays on track this year. I expect and certainly hope that this will go smoothly. Maria congresswoman, were you satisfied with testimony . Yesterday she was talking about a number of things and one of the most interesting things if you look at my questioning of her before the house Financial Services committee is i actually got her to admit that we have too many regulations particularly on Community Banks, that the lowInterest Rates, high Regulatory Burden that Community Banks face and the fact that at one time very recently had over 8,000 Community Banks and we are down to about 5,000 and the need to actually recognize that some of these regulations that are imposed on a Community Banks need to be reduced. In fact, i got her to admit that we could somehow faze out or eliminate the socalled rule which prevents banks from being able to invest their own secured assets and she actually admitted that to me after a little bit of grueling testimony but she finally did say, yes, i think the rule wouldnt apply, thats a huge start in getting us giving banks the opportunity, specially the Smaller Banks who are burdened with compliance cause, lowInterest Rates, they have no way to try to make any money, to make themselves profitable because they dont have the economies of scale. So i thought that was an interesting, at least admission on her part although she wouldnt tell me where the cutoff was, the size of the bank that would be able to eliminate rule application, but it was a good start and i think it was interesting that she was asked a number of times if you were asked to reappointed by President Trump, would you stay on and im not sure thats going to happen but i thought she was keiji on that issue. Dagen congresswoman, its Dagen Mcdowell, much hand ringing over the Federal Reserve even begin to go remove some of the crisis era, crisislevel stimulus with the giant 4 and a half trillion dollars balancsheet but that really falls on you, lawmakers in washington to pick up the slack in terms of fiscal policy and im not just talking about Health Care Reform and tax reform. Are you guys frustrate that had the senate isnt moving fast enough to health care that you cant get back to brass tax and pass tax relief . Theres a big question, we should have done tax relief first or obamacare, the question is they go hand in hand. Highest combined property and sales tax in my county alone with medicaid burden. When you talk about health care in my area, its talking about fixing medicaid and the private market and tax relief is going to be a huge kickstart to our economy where we have such high taxes in new york state. So on the federal level it would make an impact seem we dont seem to be able to get anywhere with albany, it continues to tax and spend and those policies are not helping our economy, weak we are in up state new york. Tallahassee policy would be great. Do i hope they get through the difficulty of dealing with this obamacare issue. Obviously we came up with a bill on the house, its not perfect but we came up with an amendment that would relieve local counties of medicaid burden, one of the few states that still emses enormous burden, how big it is, 80 of local county budget that i have in new york is consumed by medicaid, so we need to deal with the medicaid socalled and creating a private market issue on obamacare and then the tax reform. These are the two most important issues that we need to deal with to get our economy upstarted. Im concerned about the senate. I think that they will they had indicated they will not be doing recess, they are going to drive through this. They have a lot of work to do. Im not sure our bill, you know, imperfect as it may be could be a starting point for them. Maria show could have voted on your bill. Absolutely. Maria they decide today rip it up and start again which has a lot of people scratching heads. You delivered a bill and they we wanted to start a new. Its going to go through reconciliation anyway and thats why they want to create their own version. We will have to go through reconciliation process which could be very lengthy. This is going to be a longhard process on an very important issue. People need to be patient, we have to fix this now, obamacare is hurting people throughout this nation. Maria you think youll get it done this year . We will see health care and tax reform happen in 2017 . Im not prognosticator. Wage growth or lack thereof and a lot of us woct hawkish tone from her, what was your reaction . Ihought it was interesting when you talk about wage. She was keiji on a lot of issues. We really pressed her. When you talk about wage, a little bit off the topic on a different area, it was interesting congressman took her down the road we have aging communities, it turns out that people with older sectors are working now more than ever and it was actually the 25 to 50 category that are working less. So when she described aging, her facts didnt meet up to what she was claiming. She really didnt have much of an answer but tells you whats going on in this economy. If this is true, we need to figure out a way to get the younger people back to work and a lot of them are not finding jobs and the wages are stagnant. We have this imposed minimum wage thats traveling around the nation, new york state recently passed a threetier wage thats going to hurt us in the long run which make us uncompetitive. It was interesting how she was dodging that question as well. Maria last week we report that had teenagers are facing Unemployment Rate of 13 which is incredible, i thought. Thanks for weighing in. What do you think, andrew, would it help public image in. As long as that people replay the guy being dragged over and over on youtube half a million times, no, i dont think it will do much. [laughter] maria i dont know. What do you think . These things cant be unseen. Its going to take at least a year for this to past and people forget it was united or somebody else. Whatever theyre trying to do, they run full page ads, a little too little too late. Dagen by the way, i experienced this new bag Screening Technology at the at jfk that delta has installed with the tsa and it is a nightmare.
