She didnt even mention isis. She didnt mention the trade imbalance last month that we had that was 63 billion. The 19 trillion worth of National Debt that we have. These are the real problems that are plaguing this country. Not a single one was mention. Yet she just sat there and tried to demonize my father. I was surprised that the issue did not come up. I did see a lot of conversation about that on social media. People were upset. But they also want more specifics from donald trump. They want to know what your fathers plan is. Going back to germany and you see the problems that germanys having, theyre letting millions of refugees into that country, and you see all these problems that are popping up all over the place. The countrys in a state of anarchy lately. He has been pretty specific on some of the things hes going to do. Get a lot more specific as we reach november. Some will argue a product might be 2 cents more, but the difference is people will be able to afford to buy them because theyll have jobs. Weve lost onethird of our manufacturing in this country. Im expecting her to go to roughly three or fourpoint lead which is exactly what existed before the republican convention. Both candidates will get smaller than average bounces. You normally look at it in this point in the 21st century is a bounce of about 4 , 5 , 6 . The other thing maria is that i dont believe theres a significant number of undecided voters out there. I think its obviously about 10 . People will say to you, will say to a pollster, im undecided. How likely are you to vote for Hillary Clinton<\/a> . Im not sure. What about donald trump, no way. They say theyre undecided because they havent made the absolute commitment to one candidate, but theyve already dismissed the other. I think its really only one out of ten voters undecided at this point. What about independents, frak . Theres a greater degree because Many Americans<\/a> are rejecting the republican and democratic they dont want to be labeled. Exactly. Thats part of this whole millennial thing. They dont want to be grouped into some category. They may still vote that way, just dont want to be labeled that way. We security and the economy keep coming up as the number one and number two issues for the American People<\/a>. Do you think that is what is going to drive them . What will drive voters going into this election in november . Im going to challenge conventional wisdom again. What will drive them isnt issues. Its not policy. Its the attributes, the character traits of the candidates. Do i trust them . Do they say what they mean and mean what they say . Those are the attributes. Look, if youre a republican, you have an ideology. If youre a democrat, you have a philosophy. If youre an independent, youre looking at the character traits of the candidate. Thats whats going to help you make that decision. Frankly, both trump and clinton helped themselves during their conventions by promoting who they are as people. Not just where they stand on the issues. It was largely about that at the Democratic National<\/a> convention. Bill clinton talking about we met in 1971 and took us through their lives. Her daughter doing the same thing. And then on the republican side, same thing. We heard from all of trumps children. Do you think thats going to resonate more than okay, heres what im going to do for you and heres why this Economic Policy<\/a> will move the needle on your familys fortunes . I want to be candid through this entire election process. Donald trump jr. Outperformed expectations more than any of the relatives. You assume Chelsea Clinton<\/a> is going to do well. This is something brandnew for trump junior. Let me do the converse. To my surprise, bill clinton did not perform as well. Im going to be talking about this on the Oreilly Factor<\/a> tomorrow night. Clintons presentation people thought was disingenuous and did not tell the whole story. If youre going to talk about the personality and the persona of the candidate, you have to be candid, you have to be open, and youre going to need to acknowledge the good and the bad or the publics simply not going to believe you. You did not see the kind of euphoria after bill clinton for sure. People have their feelings about hillary and donald. And if you try to be somebody youre not, who they dont think thats who you are, they will react and they will reject. And theres a lesson to this. The stronger speech of them all was the khan family. This is the most important thing that happened in the last couple of weeks politically which is that we got this horrible economic number. The economy is growing at 1 . I look back at the last 50 years. It was not get elected. I mean you remember when you were working around reagan against jimmy carter. I think its really a story and narrative. She tried to thread that needle. And the other problem is if you listen to that speech what does she propose . Raise the minimum wage. Tax the rich. Thats what obama has done for the last eight years. Theres nothing new here. He said i dont know where youre getting that. If youre raising taxes connect the dots for us. And you know whats interesting . Youre exactly right. Over half of them are Small Business<\/a> owners or investors or operators. How are you going to get more jobs if you tax the businesses . He did raise taxes on the rich in connecticut and the economy is a disaster right now. They are losing jobs. Thats why poll numbers are where they are. And even corporations like ge. Both got out of their conventions what they wanted. The hard part for hillary. She has to get some of the bernie people back in the comp but she is trying to sell the obama message again when 70 to 80 think the country is on the wrong direction. Im lebron james.
