country, international affairs, the economy is tremendous, so many good things about this country and this is something that is coming up across the news every single day. >> try to psychoanalyze the president, he is fine answering questions about russia and collusion and it seems there's nothing to hide in those departments and that is what the investigation is supposed to be about but this obstruction charge they are trying to make is what the president's lawyers are nervous about. how do you obstruct when you didn't do anything wrong in the first place? >> the part about obstruction is he is the commander-in-chief. he has constitutional rights to make these decisions. the point to be made as he has every right to make a decision
to fire, to do whatever as the executive. i don't necessarily think they are concerned about it. there is so much legal grounds to it that it doesn't make sense to answer the questions. jillian: how much longer would you estimate this is going to continue? >> the negotiation has been eight month. this is the second volley, the second counteroffer by the trump team. there is an unwritten rule, do not interfere with elections. if this continues past labor day i anticipate the mueller investigation will hold for a little bit with respect to the president and we will revisit this the following year. >> that would still interfere because there's a cloud over everything. give us two months until the midterms. >> that is the position, it is. however, it is such an important
