Heather and theres a difference, though. What type of symptoms should we be looking for . Its so hard to tell. Do you have a cold . Do you have allergies . Do you have a standard flu . Or do you have coronavirus . So heather, thats a great question. And its really difficult to tell a lot of times. Especially because its flu season. So what people should be looking for is things like fever, dry cough and shortness of breath. In particular, those are symptoms that are much more like the coronavirus. Now, the coronavirus doesnt typically this coronavirus is not typically associated with causing a lot of the upper respiratory symptoms like a sneeze, so things that people should be really concerned about and think about seeking medical attention, kind of think about the triad, fever, cough, short shortness of breath. Heather in terms of social distancing, i was perhaps one of many, many people that went to the Grocery Store over the weekend, trying to get enough supplies for the next two weeks or so because you dont really know whats going to happen, if they tell people stay at home as much as you can, you do need some of those products. People were Walking Around and i actually had a face mask on. Do those do any good . Im hearing different things. Yeah, sure. So first of all, i like to call it physical distancing rather than social distancing. One of the nice things is we do have technology. We can be social, we cant be physical with one another. Masks a lot of people ask me about masks, heather. You know, in general masks are typically not very helpful because unless youre on like a really crowded subway car which i hope right now thats not going to be happening for the foreseeable future, people arent coughing or sneezing on you. When youre out in the public spaces, the way that you get this virus is through your finger tips, touching things and touching your face. So frequent hand washing, avoiding touching your face and people should start practicing that at home. Its really hard. Those are the key things to protect yourself. A mask, a typical surgical mask is not going to protect you if someone with a virus coughs on you. If you are sick, a mask is helpful because it limits the amount of germs, the amount of virus that you would then be spraying on your friends or loved ones, so dont cough on your friends or loved ones, because theyre not going to like you very much.
