Report, fair, balanced and unafraid. Kimberly guilfoyle is in for greta tonight. She goes on the record in 8 seconds. A huge day out on the campaign trail as three candidates are still battling it out. Hello, everyone, im Kimberly Guilfoyle in for greta van susteren. Donald Trump Holding some major meetings today, one on capitol hill to rally support and another at the new york four seasons to kick his fundraising in to high gear. And on the democratic side, senator Bernie Sanders meeting with president obama this morning at the white house. But shortly after that meeting, the president officially endorsing secretary Hillary Clinton. And as all these private meetings were going on, the candidates took to twitter to publicly go at each others throats. After the president s endorsement, donald trump tweeted. This obama just endorsed crooked hillary. He wants four more years of
obama. But nobody else does. And just five minutes later, secretary clintons account tweeting this in response to trump delete your account. And then, rnc chair Reince Priebus. If anyone knows how to use a delete key, its you. Okay. And hours later, trump striking again at secretary clintons response how long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up . And where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted . But right now senator Bernie Sanders is refusing to back down. The senator is ready to rally in washington, d. C. Huge crowds there already. We will take you back live to washington, d. C. When Bernie Sanders starts speaking. And joining us now, former speaker of the house, Newt Gingrich goes on the record. What a pleasure to have you tonight, speaker, and my word, indeed, there was a
lot to discuss for today. So lets get your take on the twitter. I thought it was pretty good. I think it shows you a little bit of the speed both of trump and his allies. It was great that Reince Priebus jumped in. Hillary was clever but i think she lost that round. Her using the word delete takes you to so many things she has done wrong that its almost embarrassing. Yeah. That was really a seemed to be another like tone deaf moment. When you are under investigation by the fbi and been found to be in wrongdoing by your own Statement Department with an ig review, why would you even act in an irgant way mocking, talking about deleting . I mean, it seems like you are just not getting it especially when americans have put their lives on the line and National Security has been compromised by her contact. I think thats one of the things that will be fascinating about this campaign. I dont think hillary gets it i think that her advisors dont get it. It was a brilliant book by Charles Murray called coming apart that talks about the gap between the elites and the rest of us. You just had a fox poll, 64 of independents think hillary is lying. Now, the fact that she is not even aware of this. She thinks she can bluff her way through it i agree with you, the notion of her using the word cleat is about as tone deaf as you can be. It was a bad move. So, senator would like to retrieve that email. And that tweet. So, let me ask you this. Lets talk about the endorsement. Obviously everyone was waiting. When is president obama, you know, very popular president with the liberals going to weigh in on this because nobody thought it was going to go this far, this, you know, long in the game with bernie and hillary. Today he made his position clear and also we know that he did vote for her, he said, before in chicago. Well, look, i think obama played this very well. He didnt get in the middle
of it he didnt give sanders any reason to be mad at him. Evidence let it go all the way through california. I also think as the leader of the party, he is pretty desperate to stop trump and to preserve his legacy. He knows a Trump Victory will unwind most of his legacy within a year. He has a Huge Investment in hillary. And i think that he is now going to Start Playing that out. He is going to try to talk sanders out of the race. There will be huge pressure on sanders to drop out after the d. C. Primary. And, but i think to give him credit, president obama, i thought, did it very ably in a very clever way and probably had as much impact as he could. Remember, a large part of this country wants to change washington not get four more years of obama. And hillary has got to sort of do a dance here where she is grateful for his support with but she sure doesnt want to become the obama candidate if you will. Yeah, absolutely. Talk a little bit aboutBernie Sanders refusing to stand down or back down. He wants to stay in this. This whole socialist movement i think did be very helpful in a way to the Trump Supporters and Republican Party saying listen is this who you want, somebody who is pushing forward this type of agenda because it has pushed hillary to the left. Put yourself in bernies shoes. You had the White House Press secretary today in what i think was probably a boo boo saying that t fbi investigation of Hillary Clinton is a criminal investigation. Now, thats the White House Press secretary. He did that shortly after obama endorsed her. So, if you are Bernie Sanders, you are thinking why should i drop out before the fbi drops out . I mean, if they are still in the game, is he still in the game. And i dont blame him at all. I think that if hillary were to be indicted, sanders will become the nominee because nobody else could compete with him. But, if he drops out, then its a different game. I did want to get to this as well, mr. Speaker, about your meetings on capitol hill with members of
congress. If you can give us a little tid bit or tell us everything. [ laughter ] well, i was there, actually, to talk about space policy with chairman babin of the subcommittee and chairman smith of the science committee. And then they said why dont i drop by the trump meeting. I was delighted to do it. It was very, very well done. I was very impressed. There was a lot of members there. There was a lot of enthusiasm there was a very candid back and forth. A lot of practical things when are you coming to my district . What can we do to help you at the convention . I thought, having been through a lot of president ial campaigns, i thought the trump operation looked very impressive this morning and did a very, very good job. And i think there is a lot of sense of they are excited about the chance to beat hillary and they think they are going to. Okay. So it sounds like you saw some unification there. I could tell by your biorhythms, mr. Speaker that it was the most auspicious meeting. Yes. You got it exactly. Very astute. Thank you very much for beinwith us. Look forward to seeing you again. Brand new fox news polls just released and it is a tight race indeed between donald trump and secretary Hillary Clinton. The new National Poll of registered voters shows secretary clinton with 42 . Donald trump sits just three points behind with 39 . However, compare those numbers to may, and it does show secretary clintons edge over trump is due to a drop in his support in may secretary clinton got 42 . Donald trump three is points ahead with 45. The on the record political panel, the boys are back from the wall street journal, john bussey and from the Washington Post philip bump. Thank you for being here. This is great because these polls were just released 6 00. Fox news polls. Keep in mind that, in fact, they are within the statistical margin of error which is exactly kind of mirroring the poll earlier back in may. How do you see it . I think this is not good news for donald trump. I mean, what donald trump needs to do is he needs to continue making progress
against Hillary Clinton. One of the things about the polls that came out last month was the fact that he had gained on her, that he had suddenly taken the lead in the fox news poll which is a sign of the republicans coalescing around his candidacy. The problem is it looks as though based on those numbers and they are within the margin of error so its hard to look too much into them. It looks he has lost some of that support again. The polling was conducted during the time period when there was all the uproar around judge curiel. Its certainly not good news. How do you read it . If anything, its so within the margin of error that we really cant be sure who is ahead and who is behind right now. Reflective, also, of a country that has for a long time been split right down the middle, contests nationally have been very close. That said, today was a very good day for Hillary Clinton. In the last couple of days, have not been good for donald trump. Its not just the judge and ration issue. Its the fact that the g. O. P. Came out with Foreign Policy plan. It is divergent from what donald trump talks about in terms of putin, in terms of nato. This is still not a unified party behind the candidate. Whereas today for Hillary Clinton, whatever your politics are, you have got to admit, endorsement by increasingly popular president , endorsement by Elizabeth Warren tonight, most likely, and sanders beginning to back off and signal that the race is over, is he going to back hillary. We are waiting for sanders to speak and we will take that for you live when it does occur. We will talk about this, too, philip, which is will hillary or trump benefit more from know, the bernie supporters . Because there has been a lot of discussion about who can kind of pick the carcass clone and take whats left and paste it on their side. Sigh no good argument that donald trump will pick up that support. I see no good argue it doesnt really make sense, quite frankly. Hillary clintons endorse. S today were strategic. President obama was very popular with young people go. Out and say i support and want you to vote for Hillary Clinton. He going to have Elizabeth Warren very shortly endorsing who appeals to the economic democratic side. I think thats what she needs at this point. Lets see and speaking of the bernie supporters. Senator Bernie Sanders is at the microphone right now at his rally in washington, d. C. Talking to his supporters. Lets listen. [chanting] thank you bernie. Thank you bernie. Thank you. Thank you, bernie. You know a little bit over a year ago, we began this campaign what the punditry thought is the campaign would not go very far. Well, here we are in mid june and we are still standing. [cheers and applause] and we are standing after
having won 22 states. [cheers and applause] and the results have not yet come in from california. [cheers and applause] we have won over 10 million votes. [cheers and applause] and in every state and nonstate, i am aware of this issue here in washington, d. C. [cheers and applause] i hope that the next time im back, were going to be talking about the state of washington, d. C. [cheers and applause] but in every state and nonstate that we have won in, we have won by very large votes, the young people. [cheers and applause] and the reason that that is
significant is that this campaign is based on a vision that our country must focus on social justice, on economic justice, on racial justice, on environmental justice. [cheers and applause] and when the overwhelming majority of young people support that vision that will be the future of america. [cheers and applause] this campaign has done as well as it has because we are doing having unusual in american politics. Were telling the truth. [cheers and applause]
and the truth has to do with the reality of our lives. And that is senator Bernie Sanders. Hugely popular with his supporters at a rally in d. C. Today. Coming on the heels of the endorsement of president obama of Hillary Clinton as the democratic nominee. Were back with the panel right now. Lets just get your thoughts. John, these supporters, i mean, this is just like gold for these two candidates. We are talking about can trump get some of those votes . Do you think he can. What we are watching here, i think is bernie song. He has gotten schmoozed by the leadership today. One thing is he probably going to fall in line. This is an opportunity for him to pitch also a platform a last couple of times. And at the end of the day a piece of bernie and who knows how big it is a piece of the bernie supporter is feeling economically disenfranchised and antiestablishment. Tough on trade because they feel that china has taken
their jobs or mexico has taken their jobs. What does that sound like . That sounds a little bit like the trump supporter. So you would think that a piece of the bernie voter might, in fact, align themselves with trump at the end of the day. How big that is . Is it 2 or 10 . We just dont know. Same pool upset with disenfranchised with washington. Politics as usual and corruption and all of that why not blake a play for all of it. Gentlemen, i wish we had more time. I have a sneaking suspicion you will probably be back. Thanks so much. Developing right now Opening Statement and Witnesses Today in the third freddie gray trial officer caesar goodson. The driver of the police van where gray suffered a spinal. Griff jenkins was in the courthouse earlier today. He joins us live from baltimore. Hi, chris. Hi, griff. Day one of this trial viewed by many most significant goodson is facing the most serious of the charges. The only officer facingSecond Degree depraved heart murder charge. It began with a bang as the state claimed in their Opening Statements that goodson gave freddie gray a quote, unquote, rough ride that resulted in a diving neck injury that proved to be fatal. Goodson is facing other charges, five in total, six in total, actually, that involved Second Degree assault, manslaughter, and misconduct in office. Today the state called a total of seven witnesses. Four of them members of the Police Department here in baltimore. And they sought to establish the fact that goodson had the obligation, training, and notice to seat belt freddie gray as well as a duty to act in seeking medical treatment once it was established that gray was injured. Judge barry t. Williams presided over this trial. It is a bench trial. Not a jury trial. That was goodsons election. Judge williams is the same judge that presided over the first two, officer porter, you will remember, resulted in a hung jury and officer nero acquitted last month. The state continues to make its case tomorrow. Kimberly . High stakes indeed, chris. What happened on day one of officer goodsons trial we go to on the records expert ted williams. He was also inside the courthouse today. Before ted was a lawyer, i will remind you that he was an officer as well. All right. Ted, thank you. Lets talk about this because this is really fascinating. A lot of people felt this was overcharged to begin with definitely overpromising and under delivering with the first two trials. Now you have got this one and its a complicated legal issue with depraved heart murder. Havent tried those cases, right . We know. Oh, absolutely. And the thing about this is being tried by the court, kimberly, you know how that is. Oh, yeah. There is a big debate around here as to whether this case should have gone to a jury, but judge barry williams, know relations but a brilliant jurist is doing a very good job in this case. But, the question is county
prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt that freddie grays neck was broken as a result of a rough ride by Police Officer goodson . Yeah, and, you know, you have been inside that courtroom. I mean, unless something massively changes with some of the evidence, that is a very difficult thing to prove they really set the prosecution up to fail here. And you have got the same judge who has heard this evidence before, so how is kind this case going to get really any better . I understand this specific individual they have got charged but nevertheless. Well, you are absolutely right. The prosecution has a very heavy bar here. They put on Witnesses Today to show that there was notice about rough rides, notice that how to handle individuals in a van. But, yet, they have to
connect the dots up and they have got to show that goodson, that goodson actually and purposely with evil will and malice as aforethought decided to give this guy a rough ride, to harm and possibly kill him. E. Y. I mean, its about as close to intent as you can get, saying you are so evil and so bad that the law will imply malice and evil intent to convict you. Fascinating case. I know you will be keeping close wraps on it for us, ted, thank you so much. Breaking news right now, the wall street journal reporting new information on a secret arrangement between secretary Hillary Clintons state department and the cia about giving the state department more say over drone strikes. Fox news chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge joins us live. Catherine. Well, thank you, kimberly. What we have reported his or her at fox news is that among the 22 top secret emails that had been deemed too damaging to release forNational Security is that there was a discussion between clinton and her aides about the cia Drone Program. But the wall street journal is reporting tonight, and this is significant because it goes to the issue of intent, that there was a willful discussion betw
