Extensively, now that this is really over, they denied the truth of the Mueller Report, the avalanche of power and abuse of corruption that is coming. Laura remember when thesepo people, these individuals with transparency and government, you remember that morning about that, notice how they are silent now . John brennan can cook up these sources that provide this dossier and we can all think that these sources are reliable and we are supposed to look the other way. Imagine if this was happening to an obama era official, the same facts pointed the other way. They would be freaking out right now. But its trump, so you can do anything. Its the the double standard is clear, and i know you will have a great show. Thanks for joining us for a little extra. Laura any time. I am Laura Ingraham and this is the ingraham angle. Ea from a buzz in washington tonight, stay for the entire hour as we dissect every aspect of what bob mueller did today as he came out and talked for the first time behind the cameras. The dems impeachment, the investigations into the obamagh deep state, and trumps 2,021st reaction is straight ahead. We will be joined by sol wisenberg, robert ray, harvey dillon, dan bongino, chris hahn Raymond Arroyo is here with a palate cleanser in between. Se plus, with all of them mueller news, we had to bring you that. That means the culture wars and everything happening in between with biden out there, touchyfeely joe biden once again. And whats happening next week when trump goes to london . Who will not be there to be part of the ceremony . Raymond arroyo is here with all that, as i said, and we will be going to london monday and in paris at the normandie anniversary next week where i will be interviewing exclusively President Trump. You dont want to miss any of that next week. But first, mueller pulls a comey. That is the focus of tonights angle. Tonight the man behind the curtain, robert mueller, spoke for some time. You might expect him to have a booming, powerful voice and a reassuring presentation, you would be disappointed. He seemed and sounded older than his 74 years, almost tired and exasperated. And yet determined to throw elbows on his way out the door. The order appointing the special counsel authorized us to investigate actions that could obstruct the investigation. He it has set forth in the report after that investigation, if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit, a crime we would have said so. Laura and how one statement from mueller, the man who we heard was a consummate professional speaks volumes about perhaps the true motivation behind this investigation and speaks to prosecutorial bias and a sense of unprofessionalism. Alan dershowitz is accusing mueller of putting his thumb on the scale saying, mueller went beyond the conclusion of his report and gave a political gifh to democrats in congress who are seeking to institute impeachment proceedings against President Trump by implying that President Trump might have committed obstruction of justice. Mueller effectively invited democrats to institute impeachment proceedings. As i said in my podcast today this kind of reminded me of jim comey, if you remember the fbi directors, his absurd nonindictmentindictment back in 2013. Ur although we did not find evidence that secretary clinton or her colleagues intended to hide classified information, they were extremely careless in their handling of classified information. Laura i watch that whole thing several times today. It is more disturbing every ten you watch it. As with mueller, remember comeys job was not to opine his job as investigator was to investigate the case and merely present his findings to the attorney general, and his bosses at the department of justice. Instead what he ended up doing was managed to tick off everyone. Setting aside that glaring fact that hillary got off for what others would have been jailed for, comey did enormous damage to the integrity of the fbi and rule of law. Although there are potential violations of the statutef regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case. Laura theres nothing reasonable about a system of justice where at least half the country thinks the entire thing is rigged. The deep state that candidate trump up after it became obvious that he was going to win the nomination because they were terrified of even the remote prospect of an outsider becoming president of the united states. Exonerating mrs. Clinton was an essential step to stopping trump, but it didnt work. Once trump won the presidency b they had to fire up the russian collision investigation via the phony dossier, the fisa court, and of course, agent muller halpin comic helping along the way. When that didnt work, after a twoyear long investigation they found no evidence of collusion. And failed to get the obstruction goods on trump. But now, mueller comes along in his final bow and is attempting to resuscitate the corpse that was his report. But for you little people, by the way, hes going to say nothing more. Any testimony from this office would not go beyond our report, and the report is my testimony and for that reason i will not be taking questions today as well. , laura thats it, no questions. After completing their investigations neither comey nor mueller needs to appear before the camera. He didnt have to do that today and didnt have to do that back in july of 2016. So why did they . It wasnt because of his feigned concern for transparency or because mueller was closing up the special counsels office and leaving for the last time. Thinking about it today, it wass all partly to the old sin of pride. We all suffer from it. But heres a concern for what they both had in their place in history. Both men are lifelong products of the washington legal establishment that at its coreis reviled a man such as trump. To be defeated or even embarrassed by a man who they believed is as uncouth and undignified as trump and his supporters . Thats unthinkable. Comey turned himself in the law into a pretzel to give hillary a pass, then used the collusion that led to the appointment of mueller. Today, mueller tried to turn a lack of evidence on obstruction into grounds for impeaching a sitting president. It is wild. Both of them are trying to get back into the good graces of the in crowd. Both of them and their careers with a deafening thud. And that is the angle. Joining me now with reaction sol wisenberg, former whitewater deputy, independent counsel Fox News Contributor and harvey dillon, a member of the trump of 2020 counsel. So other than perhaps trying to save his legacy with the left, what reason did it mueller have for speaking out today . I think it was totally appropriate for mueller to make a brief statement upon closing his office. I think we need to make a distinction between criticizing the Mueller Report, which i have criticized repeatedly, and a good portion of which deserves criticism, particularly the obstruction part, and criticizing his performance today. Contrary to what pressurey dershowitz says he did not go beyond anything that was in hist written report. He went out of his way i believe to help attorney general barr. He said he appreciated the him replacing releasing the report and did not appreciate his releasing itt in the way that he did. Laura you have to listen to them very carefully on that because i did. He said it, i dont question his good faith on that issue. Look through our parsing on that issue, we are all lawyers. He has the right to speak anytime he wants. My question is, sol, and you are giving him a pass, im not giving him a pass. There was no reason he had to come out. They were giving away the staplers today so he had to come out in front of the camera to resuscitate the wholeo impeachment thing . There was no reason he had to come out today. He came out because hes a member of the city. You dont live here, i do. H this citys legal establishment has always hated donald trump. They think is uncouth and not smart, they think he didnt deserve the presidency, he didnt check all of their boxes. They never wanted him to be president and the fact that hes got through two years of this investigation and accomplished as much as he has, and i dont mean to cut you off but im hot on this. I dont like when prosecutors grandstand before the cameras. Whether it was pat Patrick Fitzgerald or conrad black. There is no reason for prosecutors to get out there before the cameras, your reaction . Absolutely laura. He didnt get in front of the camera. He didnt prosecute the case nice try. Mueller is trying to rewrite his epitaph. He it was going to be that he was the gman consummate professional and do the right thing but he obviously didnt like the chatter after his mirror attacked did not meet its mark. So hes trying to rewrite that. But i think its worse than that. By coming out and saying hes that jerk who has to have the last word. He also has to say on not going to answer any questions from congress or the senate, im gone. I had the last word. Laura if i wanted to clear him of a crime, i would have said so. Others have said it, its very obvious that you cannot take this role of judge, jury and executioner which is what he tried to do. Somebody else noted that he indicted 13 russian people, they have more than trump because at least they are going to get a trial. Its the one i want to get your way and on the back and forth between cnns jake tapper and this guy. Lets watch. Do you agree that the headline here is President Trump likely committed a crime but i could not charge him because of the legal guidance that sitting president n cant be charged . . Yes, i think he finally made it crystal clear. Laura thats my point. Thats the line that everyone in the lame stream media is running with. So mueller knew because he chooses his words carefully that was going to be the takeso away line. Thats a problem i have with this. And i love you, saul, but thats the problem i have. First of all, i lived inn washington for 20 years and i dont want to be criticized for moving out, im happy where i am. There is nothing inappropriate. Its totally normal for somebody in his position leaving offices to bring a brief public statement. Laura why do you keep saying that . Is his testimony. Then we dont need to hear from you again. If that isnt really the case because of the line that i read in the angle. The line that, if we wanted to clear him, we could have cleared him. He has already said that. But you are making my point why did he have to come out why . You cant answer the question. Hes the attorney general, this guy this guy is not the boss. Wait a minute. I defended him, he didnt have to come out before the barr report was released and frame it in the way that he did. I have no problem its is the boss of the other guy. So what . Ve laura what an associate of yours you have a great law firm. If an associate of yours came out in a case that you are defending and started giving comments to the press, would you appreciate that . The answer is no. You would fire them. Would you not . Its too late to fire him and he resigned. Laura my point is, im a stickler on this because of the motive of and mueller. We were sold this bill of goods on him. He was beyond reproach, and maybe im being unfair. I think im being unfair because its my defense attorney background that kicks in here. I am a civil rights attorney and the reality is thehe prosecutor has amazing power. He has a power to go into thepr grand jury without the defense present and make his case. Balanced against that is his duty under the doj guidelines not to come out and smear them. He did not have the right to indict the president. Laura we will get to that and on that issue, we addressed on the podcast today brilliantly. We got a lot of comments on your podcast. What about that . When mueller came out and said specifically, we made this decision because we couldnt indict him or charge him becausc of the longstanding rule. Hi and you say . The problem is when he says, it wouldnt be fair to say he committed a crime. But then he says, if we could have exonerated him, we would have but we cant exonerate him. If mueller to be consistent said heres the evidence we saw. And here is what Leon Jaworski did when he sent his report to congress. He said, heres what happened on this day and heres the evidence to find and, ive been very critical. I dont have any problem with him going and making a nine minute statement closing down the office. A i have no problem with that. If he cant indict the president , its illogical. He didnt answer, i think it was kind of like, on top of im not going to do this and i cant. He does not have the right ht does not have the right to a exonerate anybody, its not his job. The leftwing media todayig and its almost like they are were all reading from the same script. Its basically now up to you. He was virtually announcing congress, do your job. The train whistle is blowing and pelosi has to make a decision. Hes saying to congress, i cant do your job for you. The ball is in your court. The ball is essentially in their court. Its up to you in the house of representatives to deal with this. The ball is in your court. Laura braddock, are you worried after tonight . Ou the person who had a bad day today was nancy pelosi. They expected i think they were salivating something was going to come. He said we couldnt charge. Everybody today is running with he couldnt charge because of the doj policy. He didnt seem like that was his justification but i think thats a wash. I do think it was muddying the waters once again on this issue of did he obstruct justice. I still think this goes back to democratic talking points. Their impeachment to their base is like the wall is to our base. The truth is, this is a made up false problem and crisis but our wall is a real crisis. But this is about them raising money. Its a booming economy. They have to dangled that little prospect of impeachment out really. Im thinking as a democrat. You kind of have people thinking, and pelosi talked to her about being disappointed with the doj. Lets watch. I am greatly disappointed in the justice department. That was the misrepresentation of the Mueller Report to begin with, they are hiding behind something that you could never find in the constitution. Im going to sit here beating this drum. This actually empowers our campaign. It actually strengthens the campaign. People dont believe this. They are trying to beat them in some way because they have no other way to beat them on policy. Justin is now the courageous one. I want you to watch this exchange. Its important that we do our job as a congress, that we not allow misconduct to go undeterred. That we not just say that someone can violate the public trust and that there are no consequences to it. He believes in spying. He is not a libertarian. I think you will see them comin out again. But he had a nice muscle shirt. Laura a thank you so much. Coming up, Speaker Pelosi isnt boxed into the corner as democrats grow more rabbit over impeachment. So what will she do now . Has been excellent. They really appreciate the military family and it really shows. With all that usaa offers why go with anybody else . We know their rates are good, we know that theyre always going to take care of us. It was an instant savings and i should have changed a long time ago. It was funny because when we would call another insurance company, hey would say oh we cant beat usaa were the webber family. Were the tenneys were the hayles, and were usaa members for life. Get your usaa Auto Insurance quote today. We like drip coffee, layovers and waiting on hold. What we dont like is relying on fancy technology for help. Snail mail we were invited to a y2k party. Uh, didnt that happen, like, 20 years ago . Oh, look, karolyn, weve got a mathematician on our hands check it out now you can schedule a callback or reschedule an appointment, even on nights and weekends. Todays xfinity service. Simple. Easy. Awesome. Id rather not. He told us enough to interpret what he said was in impeachment reading. This is as close to impeachment referral. Osa these are impeachment proceedings. Act now or lose our democrac see forever. Laura a little overstated there. Of course there are the fanatics that are calling for President Trumps impeachment. What else are they going to do tell us how they will raise the gdp faster than trump . Even nancy pelosi, who has warned her party about russian impeachment, seems to be inching a little closer. Nothing is off the table but we dont want such an ironclad case that the Republican Senate will be convinced of the path that we have to take out the as a country. Laura here to debate, dan bongino, chuck schumer. As it a democrat, are you thinking this is a good moment for your party . Because it seems like pretty much all the 2020 candidates all 23 of them, seem to be saying the same thing, that this is tantamount to a referral of impeachment, do you agree . Well, i dont ever celebrate anyones misfortune but it does appear to me that what bob mueller said to me today was im not the one who gets to decide this, its up to you congress. Heres the evidence i laid outt for you, and now its your call. He felt that he couldnt indict and he did not want to make a recommendation because that would be unfair because themm president would not be able to then defend himself because there would be no trial. Laura well, he certainly was very clear on no conspiracy with russia. He made a definitive conclusion on no conspiracy or collusion is not a crime, but they werent working together for the election. They found no evidence of that. But on the obstruction, which is what everyone is hanging their hat on, mueller was more, we couldnt come to a conclusion on this but that doesnt mean no crime was committed. That was what got under my craw today because it was an elbow. Out the door with no ability to question mueller and no ability for a followup. You dont need to be an attorney to figure out that, not not guilty is not a standard. I dont understand what bob mueller did today. Ethically or morally it was awful. What chris said about the olc guideline, limiting muellers ability to charge trump, thats not true. There are witnesses and multiple people at the doj saying that bob mueller said not once but three times that the olc guidelines did not prevent him from making the decision, which means he punted for obviousgu reasons, to set up barr. He did not punt to barr, he punted to congress. What other people might have heard was not what he said, and he had to say it because barr was misrepresenting what he said. Laura hold on. Hold on. No, stop. Why did he praise barr today for misrepresenting . Laura heres the deal. He works for the attorney general, the u. S. Government, but he doesnt work at the behest of congress. Thats what the democrat
