The truck we've built in 22 months with our small team here incredible guys and it's the 1st sport utility truck we kind of brought truck back into the next with S.U.V.s kind of going all luxury so we brought you to let Terry in back and so it's a machine like using the word machine mixing utilitarian offer capabilities and just doing everything to the nth degree and we revealed it last week on Thursday and the response has been credible I've gotten hundreds and hundreds of e-mails and phone calls and it's from all over the world so the press has been amazing and the response has been huge to people just a lot of them saying Finally something I can buy that Selectric that I can do something with and so it's really hit a chord I think sort of over the mountain so I'm wondering about this whole thing with electric vehicles by the way I'm looking at a picture of it and I think a lot of people are going to say it looks a bit like a Jeep which I think that's fair to say it looks a bit like it right maybe a cross between a hybrid between a Jeep and an old seventy's Bronco you know something like that right a Wrangler and a Bronco and it's actually a decent looking machine so nice job thanks we kind of went into the category once you have this wheel base and you want to be utilitarian and you want to get as much cargo space in there as much passenger space we went into their world so there's that whole category of old Defenders old Broncos jeeps where once you're in that world you're going to look no matter what you do you're going to kind of borrow this and borrow that but we hope we have made like the modern clean version of those vehicles but we're glad to be thought of in that category and knowing for those who can picture a Jeep Wrangler or a seventy's Ford Bronco if you remember folks with the Broncos they did that they had a half cab which made a little tiny pickup truck and then of course the full cab you know remove old hard top you might say but this also it has kind of a you know. Maybe if if I could say if Hummer was still in business maybe it's a little baby home or in some ways right well so yeah it's a Hummer and there's also some z. Wagon maybe there's also maybe some. Yeah back so it's a big utilitarian truck and so we're in that world yeah now I understand top speed of 127 miles an hour so we're not talking about a farm vehicle this is a regular drive down the road vehicle you're quoting 360 horsepower with 472 pound feet of torque which is true that's some you know and I'm imagine it doesn't weigh very much what is the weight. Right the truck is coming in now at around $3900.00 pounds. Chassis and body panels on purpose of course to lighten the load and also to resist rust so we want this to be a truck that you can really keep for the rest of your life and that's what has to do all motors so that's why there's so much power and so much torque and the calculated speeds for top speed in 0 to 60 Those are all calculated off that's very good calculations but we haven't taken it to that limit yet on the track but we expect to get those numbers sure and then people would probably think you will what about range so you're saying something between 120 to 200 mile range and a 67.4 estimated m.p.g. Equivalent right. Of all the coolest vehicles on the road today from the Jeep Wrangler that are selling as fast as they can build them to the most popular classic sport utility out there right now the old seventy's late sixty's and early seventy's Ford Broncos it has a little of that going on it's got a long way going it's got a little bit of perhaps Hummer I don't know they never really made a small Hummer other than the h 3 which never had a removable hard top things like this does and but I think this is very into art so the big question is if you announce pricing it you know we are working feverishly on that we expect a price and at the end of the year we have good numbers down and we just need to finalize a number a couple things and we'll have that out later in the year yeah so can I ask where did this come from with you I mean did you go to giant orchard and you just needed something that was industrial That was fun that was you know where did that what was the genesis of this machine Well the idea did happen on my farm here in the Catskills so I've had Jeeps in the past so I own a couple pickup trucks now and just to kind of just all some came together that why can't there be an all wheel drive vehicle I can put my plow on it can handle 3 feet of snow kind of thing right I can throw lumber in and it's a power source for when I need to go up to the north 40 kind of thing and so it all came together as like well there can't be that one machine that can do all these kind of things and so that's that was the beginning of it that was in 2015 that kind of like aha moment happened and then the team here. Brought a ton of things to it that I would never have thought of like all the capabilities to make it amazing for off road and whatnot so it just it just kept growing with what it could do now I've heard that it has a 5050 weight balance not not easy to achieve with an off road all wheel drive type vehicle is that true right we have dual motors so the front and back are mirror images of each other and so they're down below your level basically and so we have both $5050.00 weight balance in the center of gravity is right between the driver and the passenger right at level so the center of gravity is incredible and that's what's so great about electric is not just the power but how small the units can be and how you can just have a whole new architecture to vehicles that you just cannot ever get and internal combustion engine What about telling I'm trying to listen to the collective soul of the listening audience are like well it's electric You can't tell anything. Well right now we built the truck as a $10001.00 pounds gross weight so it's a class 3 truck so that means it can it's cable of $10001.00 pounds of total way total capacity so it comes in around 4000 pounds so right now it can haul 6000 pounds and it can tow 6000 pounds is kind of a quick answer as far as like real testing after we you know move along a little further well we'll probably have a higher number for towing than that but right now that's the math and we're you sourcing your battery and that's going to be the next big question and and because of the people you need take a look at this it's Ballinger Motors dot com The b. I get it but you're the little Goliath or you're the little train that could maybe you muster I thought well how can I make this utilitarian is possible easy to work with easy to repair all that stuff give me 2 minutes on that yet with the batteries what we are hoping to have for production are 2 different versions one would be a 60 kilowatt hour pack and another 100 kilowatt hour pack we're talking to 2 different vendors for those 2 different packs right now and keeping all of our options open race equates And so we would have those 2 different price levels so if you want it you know you can keep it on a farm you know you're going to go up there mountain right behind your house and not you know go all that crazy far this insecure about me more than enough because that's 120 miles per day which is already far more than what the average person uses in a day for their commute so we're I think we're totally covered with a range what we love about the architecture of the truck is that the batteries are in their own compartments and so they're sealed they're like little sealed basically from the outdoors but with those compartments is that we're thinking that as batteries develop in the going to develop dramatically over the next 10 years is that we could actually change what the batteries are doing with each production run and upgrade them and if you want to keep your b.
