The private company that provides trash collection and recycling services for the city. Starting january first. Sioux City Residents will see an increase of 86 cents on their trash collection bills. Currently the average household pays 15 dollars and 44 cents for trash removal services. That rate is increasing to 16 dollars and 30 cents at the start of the new year. Gill hauling says the increase in rates was needed to meet the companys growing labor costs mayor bob scott agreed.
