Colfax. Im bm. Thanks for being us with. The fire start ed in the second story units at the bar motel. The fire was reported around 9 30 this morning. Two people sent to the hospital. Firefighters dont know about their exact injuries, but they say the people were conscious. The owner of the motel said they were briefly trapped in the motel. The owners and the firefighters said the flames moved quickly. The owner tried to contain the file while calling 911 at the same time. Nothing i could experience before because ive never been through this before. So it was frightening. And a lot going through my head, and the first thing that went through my head was try to put the fire out, and i tried, but it didnt work out. Stop, the crews were able to attached to the building. Denver firefighters say it move so quickly. 9 units were damaged there. This is the day denver is prepared to move the belongings and shelter of People Living on the streets in the area near lawrence and park avenue west. Cbs 4 jaime leary is on the scene where shes been since 5 00 this morning. Jaime, are you seeing the city act just yet . Reporter you know, things are pretty calm and quiet over here. Just over my shoulder here, down park avenue. We did see a Denver Police officer swing by there and give a verbal warning to people over there to clear out or possibly face arrest. Property. Over here, things have cleared out at this point really, people are listening to the verbal warnings. Sign on the ground actually, earlier, city officials put that signin side an ordinance that bans blocking of public way including sidewalks. That heard none initiated this clear out. They took that ordinance out for a second time, but other than that, things have been calm. There were a few people we thought may be werent so inclined to clear out at all, but it was just yesterday that the ball park neighborhood was given notice of this cleanup. Folks were handed fliers and told they had 24 hours to clear the belongings out. It was just that that happened. The homeless was joined this morning by protestors from various organizations. Some completely opposed to the cleanup and others making sure its done in a humane way and ask questions of the city, like where are all these people going to go. We reached out to city officials and we asked them to tell us if there was a specific timeline, but they said so far theres no specific timeline, but were going to continue to follow this so far, no sign of city officials and just the one Police Presence giving that verbal warning, giving folks time to clear out their belongings. To keep from interfering with wild life, hall ranch does not allow pets and thats prompting problems. When its hot out, we get complaints from park visitors that see the dogs in the cars. That its just too hot or they dont have adequate ventilation or water. Tuesday, county missions will consider a new rule for its open spaces. Prohibiting visitors from leaving pets inside their cars and from smoking tobacco and marijuana products or consuming edibles. Its not something they want their kids to see, its not something they want to smell, and its not something they want to be exposed to. If approved, the park is the first to keep visitors from leaving pets inside cars while they use the trail. Balloon says the proposal could reduce wild fire risk. Here is the delegate count going into todays primaries. Trump has 378. Cruz, 298. Rubio, 146. And kasich, 35. Republicans need 1,237 delegates for the nomination. New information about what caused a commuter train to derail in california. Union pacific says a mud slide likely caused the problem. 9 people were injured when the train plunged into a creek. 214 people were on the train when it derailed. It was jolting. It was a wild ride.
