City Council Unanimously voted to add the Design Guidelines to the citys Flood Control management project. Design teams will follow these guidelines over the next 20 years. The wall will feature openings for trails, roadways, and paths. Each will be a certain color and size and include a marker to symbolize the path. The project engineer says these guidelines show this wont only be a functional wall. Were getting the message loud and clear from our city council that they really want it to look good too. They want it to be something thats esthetically pleasing, something that actually attracts people to the river as opposed to deters them. The city council says the designs are simple and functional, and they shoud put them right on track within the master plan.
