She says her goal is to get more College Students involved in this years election, and ideally conservative politics. Students tell me they are primarily interested in learning about the two campaigns plans for the economy. And in particular, job growth, as many of these students are nearing graduation. Some College Students say tonight was a good night to get to know the future Vice President. Hurricane matthew has brought haiti and cuba. And its caused at least seven deaths. Here in the us, the hurricane is forcing several states to warn people to be ready to evacuate on a moments notice. South carolina will begin moving people from coastal communities, starting tomorrow morning. That could affect up to one million people. Florida could start evacuating people tomorrow, too. This is nothing something that we want to play with. And the other thing i would tell everyone is if you dont get out in time, you might actually get stuck and i think thats worst Case Scenario is to be stuck on the coast and have no place to go because you didnt meet the evacuation time. Once the storm comes, we cannot put our First Responders in harms way. You must leave before its too late if the storm makes landfall, it could be the most powerful hurricane to the us in about a decade. Traffic deaths in the state this year is slowing down its investigations. So far this year, 285 people have died in vehicle crashes in the state. Thats 40 more deaths than at the same time last year. The state patrol says its investigating at least 125 of those deaths. And that number is also up from last year. But the patrol does not have any fulltime crash investigators. So troopers are in charge of handling those investigat their other duties. The state patrol says many of those fatal crashes are happening on rural roads. So its using a program called high five to encourage people to buckle up. For example, in clayton county, drivers can expect more troopers and sheriffs deputies out on the roads, and more checkpoints. The High Five Program focuses on rural counties, where the state patrol says fewer people tend to buckle their seat will pay six Million Dollars as part of a settlement for alleged violations of the renewable fuel standard. The federal government says western Dubuque Biodiesel bought 24 million gallons of biodiesel from another company back in 2011. University of iowa police have also received reports of such sightings. In all these cases, the clowns have not been a credible threat. Now police are stressing that dressing up as a clown is not illegal. But they say threatening someone coull they also warn that people dressing up as clowns could be putting their own safety at risk because of the panic the phenomenon has created.
