A university of iowa Faculty Group thats been very vocal about its disagreement with the hiring of University President Bruce Harreld met with him late this afternoon. Approved a vote of no confidenccin the iowa regents for selecting harreld. Today, the senate voiced those same concerns when they sat down with the new president in a closed doored meeting. Harreld has said all along that if anyone has concerns about tt job he is doing, he wants them to come directly to him. The Dubuque City Council has approved the rezoning of the area where the former Nativity Elementary School sits. The School Closed in 2005 after years of decreasing enrollment. The City Council Approved the companys request to rezone the property from a Family Residential district to an Office Residential district, allowing the company to start work. Marion Police Officers will soon be wearing body cams on patrol. The city council has approved buying 50 body cameras for the police department. The cameras will cost 15 thousand dollars and will come from provision video systems. This is video of similar cameras that the asbury and Waterloo Police departments already use.
