Cedar Rapids School district leaders are adding their voice to the debate over Education Funding in iowa, iowa,everyone agrees more money is needed, but the fight at the statehouse right now is over how much. Much. Cedar Rapids Schools, the second largest district in the state, is releasing a worksheet showing how much funding is needed just to maintain the status quo. It shows although enrollment is flat, staffing is lower than it was five years ago. The ranshaw family was one of the first families here in North Liberty to the east on penn street, North Liberty road and dubuque street the city has resurfacing, sewer and water projects totaling at least 12 Million Dollars over the next the northeast part of town is going to be our next big growth area and with the high school currently under construction we have two subdivisions that are getting close to submitting construction plans. To the west, the city plans to use 3. 5 Million Dollars to widen penn street to four lanes from the i380 ramps to alexander way this year and then to jones boulevard the next. That road gets a tremendous amount of use, especially as folks are leaving in the morning and coming back in the afternoon after that theyll need to work with the federal government on the bridge that crosses the interstate.
