For several years, hyvee has held an annual veterans Day Breakfast for veterans, active military members and their spouses. In the past, theyve served 80,000 veterans. The free breakfast included pancakes, sausage, eggs, and madeto order omelets. Hyvee store director dave blum says getting to greet and provide breakfast for those who have served our country is just a small token to thank them for their service. Its just heartwarming and you know its amazing to me how grateful they are for the free breakfast and its really all about them and how grateful we are for their service. Service. Hyvee is also encouraging their customers to round up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar. All the money raised will go to their Homefront Initiative which supports veterans and several organizations. The initiative goes through the 15th. Dustin jeffersons lawyers wanted the trial moved out of tama county because they feel Media Coverage will influence jury members. Jefferson is charged with killing his wife, kerry oclaire jefferson, in 2013. His trial is scheduled to start in february. February. His mother, ginger jefferson was convicted in the killing last year. A suspect is in custody after a number of sexual assaults were reported on the university of iowa campus. Authorities and familes are searching for answers after a fatal plane crash in akron, ohio. Ohio. On tuesday, nine people died when their aircraft slammed into an apartment building. Nobody was in that residence at the time. Right now the ntsb, and other agencies are at the scene investigating. But it could be months before they come up with any answers. Of the nine people that died seven were employees of a bocaraton based real estate company. They were on a weeklong scouting trip with stops planned for minnesota, illinois, missouri, and ohio where their jet went down. U. S. Investigators could soon get to look at physical evidence from the russian passenger jet that went down in egypt.
