His flight hours before the crash may have been a practice run for the Deadly Mission to come. David kerley starts us off. Good morning, david. Reporter was it a practice run or did the copilot lose his nerve . On the first flight of the morning. He set the plane on controlled descent on the flight. Could this crash scene been in germany that day . The new report says on the first flight from dusseldorf to barcelona, the copilot was told to lower the plane. He spun the dial from 37,000 feet to 100 feet. He left it there for three seconds. Minutes later, down to 100 feet before back up to a normal flight. This was clearly a dress rehearsal. On the return flight lubitz again sets the dial to 100 feet but this time he leaves it there until it crashes into the mountain killing all 150 onboard. The report from french authorities makes no conclusion as to whether this was a practice run on that earlier flight. But it raises the debate should pilots ever be alone in the cockpit . George.
