It was an emotional scene here where the texas senator told supporters and staff his path to the nomination had foreclosed. Cruz spoke for an hour after the indiana race had been called for donald trump. When he formally announced he was suspending his campaign, supporters in the room shouted no and dont do it, ted. Supporters told abc news they werent surprised the senator lost indiana but they were shocked he called it quits because they dont see themselves supporting anyone else. Cruz said he left it all on the field in indiana. After the speech wrapped cruz walked off stage but his wife heidi came back out to hug supporters, tearful at times, telling them the fight goes on. Well have the jet stream that will already have a trough developing there.
