That's Bobby day and if you're just waking up you're waking up with morning wood on k k a Sam and 1320 right now it's time for our weekend box office recap so I want to just jump right into it number coming in at number 10 we have Deadpool 2 from Fox bring in another $1600000.00 this week so that's still doing pretty well in the 8th week and now total domestic gross of now 314500000 so that's going to have a few more weekends and in a few more weeks and continue to perform. Worldwide it's. Crossed over 50500000000 I think so that's going to continue to do well and. Bring in a lot for Fox Studios come in and number 9 won't you be my neighbor added 239 theaters this weekend with a spy 6.9 percent increase from last week now this is its 5th week and it brought in 2500000 this is from Focus studios bring it up to a total gross of 12000000 I talked about this before this was a limited release of course that's been getting a lot more traction and as people are starting to come see is making more money more theaters are bringing in the studio is. Having it played in more locations so it will be interesting to see how that one does and see there's already a bit of. Our learning curve to its. Performance here so that's in its 5th week and now it's probably going to continue to do well we'll see how it does next week and if it continues to add theaters coming in number 8 from Warner Brothers Tagg this is one of the ones that we saw underperforming the last couple week weeks this is now in its 4th week it brought in 3100000 to a total of 48000000 domestic We that's its gross right now that is from Warner Brothers Studios and. That one's probably going to drop off a little more in the next few weeks right now it's showing a 47 percent decrease from last weekend. We're probably going to see something a little more dramatic next weekend as it continues to to decline come in a number 7 oceans 8 from Warner Brothers at 5200000 in its 5th week and now bringing it up to 126000000 so that one is also continuing to perform doing well on the other hand for Warner Brothers and that's coming in at a 36 percent decrease from last weekend so we're going to see that continue to perform number 6 from lines gay and Sony uncle drew. Brought in 6600000 in its 2nd week and now bringing it up to 29000000 not exactly what it was projected to perform do in growing a little bit under. But still number 6 in the top 10 this week and not bad it's definitely not the worst it could ask for the fact that it is only in its 2nd weekend isn't great compared to what it was performing the rest of these in the top 10 are all in there 5th 4th 5th and 8th weekend so it's not amazing but we'll see how it continues to perform right now it's looking at. One of the biggest draw actually the biggest drop off. This weekend in a 56 percent decrease from last weekend so we'll see if that number goes up or down. Next week and hopefully it does a little better coming in at number 5 Issachar yo day of the saw the auto from Sony Pictures bringing in 7300000 now in its 2nd weekend bringing it up to 35000000 domestically so that one's continuing to perform doing pretty well. A slightly larger drop off. As a last about 3000 theaters this week. Coming in at number 4 we have from Universal the 1st purge this is our 1st opener of the top 10 this week and actually there are only 2 openers and the top 10 this weekend so this did pretty well brought in 17000000. It's showing 31000000 grossing total right now so I'm assuming it probably opened world wired before it opened this weekend I'm not sure if that was a world worldwide release that other countries got to see. Before the u.s. So that's probably what that means coming in at number 3 now it's 3rd weekend from Universal drastic world fall in Kingdom I talked about this on the show a couple weeks ago when it came out. That now has a 53 percent drop off brought in 28500000 so definitely still continuing to perform . Especially definitely expected to reach probably over a 1000000000 at least in the worldwide box office right now it's sitting out cozy 333300000 domestic gross only in its 3rd week and so that's going to bring in a lot of the donors for universal and. Like I said before they're definitely going to make more of those things I was an obvious set up for a sequel at the end of that movie there so it's not the last that we're going to see or hear of the drastic world franchise 5 any means coming in at number 2 from Disney we have Incredibles 2 so doing very very well brought in 29000000 this weekend to a total gross of 504000000 now only in its 4th weekend for some reason I thought this had been a little longer but it's actually still breaking records just be beauty in the Beast says the biggest p.g. Movie of all time also now the biggest animated movie of all time so like we talked about before this was one of the most highly anticipated movies of the decade so far so it's only 37 percent drop off from last week and it's going to continue to perform we're going to see a lot more coming from that and the biggest story this weekend of course is number one our only other opener in the top 10 this weekend from Disney Marvel Studios and man in the wost bringing in 76000000 domestically this weekend so that one's opening pretty well and this is actually I just read this this morning this is the 20th century opening 20th Street Number one opening for Marvel Studios so literally every movie that Marvel Studios has opened since the 1st Iron Man movie back in 2008 has has been Number Number one they've made just a little over 17000000000 worldwide. Between all 20 of these films so they're not going anywhere I mean we're going to see Marvel movies for the rest of our lives probably. There are up to 3 movies a year now this just started last year we had. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Spider-Man homecoming and Thor Ragna rock and then this year of course Black Panther and infinity war coming right before Ant-Man in the wasp here so next year we're going to see the Captain Marvel movie of course then Avengers 4 and I believe the 1st movie coming out after that is the Spider-Man homecoming sequel as we talked about on the show last week just revealed to be titled Spider-Man far from home so. Likely will be a bigger year for Marvel then than this year was and that's despite having to huge kosher all phenomenons both Black Panther and infinity war within the span of just a couple months. Both of those each brought in about $700000000.00 domestically so those are definitely going to continue to be the biggest friendship one of the biggest franchises that Disney has right now it's probably there's already starting to surpass the Star Wars franchise and really all of the Lucas film properties and even some of the Pixar properties. Right now we haven't really seen any of these movies have to compete with the openings of Pixar but we're going to start to see that soon.
