Faraday secured 600 million in new funding. And 300 million of that is expected to arrive in the us in the next few weeks. Patrick Walker faraday told Forbes Magazine it plans to restart construction out here in early 2017. That would be in line with the end of the Consumer Electronics show. The tube will carry people and cargo in pods at speeds of up to 700 miles per hour. It could be up and running in 2017 if everything goes smoothly. Dave Courvoisier administrator faced tough questions today. They came during day two of a civil lawsuit trail against ccsd for failing to stop bullying in a henderson middle school. Karen. karen castro attorneys for the victims grilled the then assistant principal of the school about what administrators knew and didnt know and what they did and didnt do. Family attorneys hammered former assistant principal leonard depiazza about inconsistencies depiazza first testified he did not become aware of the extent of the bullying until february of 2012 some 6 months after the first complaint was filed with the dean at Greenspun Middle School. Attorney john scott then referred back to statements depiazza had previously made stating he was in fact aware of the bullying report back in september of 2011. But today, during questioning, depiazza said he was mistaken back then. Depiazza then acknowledge meeting with one of the victims mother in september after sh was happening to her son in band class. At one point, the family attorney asked depiazza if hes in charge of supervising the dean, why wasnt more done to investigate the claims brought forward. former assistant principal at Greenspun Middle School is testifying about not knowing bullying claims were not investigated by the school dean. karen castro the defense once again because the lawsuit accuses ccsd of sexual discrimination and sexual harassment. Attorney for ccsd, daniel polsenberg, even asked for a mistrial after the judge allowed attorneys to question the assistant principal about the allege harassment happening in band class. The judge denied the motion. karen castro the judge will be deciding the outcome of the case. Testimony is expected to go on through the beginning of next week. News now. Chris Maathuis the city of oakland and the alamedia board of supervisors are apparently going to hold a closed session meeting on november 29th to talk about what they can do to keep the team in oakland. According to reports in the former raiders ronnie lott and rodney peete are trying to come up with a funding plan to keep the team from moving to las vegas. They working with a group called the Fortress Investment group. However oakland and county still owe 95 million on bond debt to pay off a 10thousand seat expansion built in 1996 to lure the team back from los angeles. Not all members of alameda supervisors favor using public money to build a stadium. Three are against it. And two really oppose using projects. Raiders owner mark davis told us oakland had its chance and has moved on and as we reported from houston when asked the 31 other owners for permission to relocate.
