Were tracking a developing story. Advocates for the homeless in denver getting ready to rally in about 30 minutes after the city announced it would be tearing down homeless camps. They planned to clear them out today, but now its unclear when theyll take action. Jason gruenauer whats going on . Reporter this is one of the more popular areas, across the street from the denver rescue mission. The city put up the signs yesterday giving them 24 hours notice they may move through and clear out the camps. Were talking the more permanent things, like the tarps and tents, not just personal belongings. With that sign up, the city has to give people 24 hours notice if they were going to do that. It would start first with a verbal warning, then a written arrest, to clamp down on what city Officials Say is unsafe, unhealthy, unsanitary and inhumane situation. Last night the city backed off had to giver 24 hours notice, but didnt have a firm date when it would be doing this. In response the group denver homeless outloud tried to schedule a protest here at 5 00 a. M. No word on how big that may be. Theres still a bunch of people milling around, but its because some of them live out here, sleep out here. Well keep you updated. No activity as of yet. This morning parents and students and staff at Greeley West High School have a lot of questions about why the principal and vice principal were escorted off campus by cops yesterday. Are both on administrative leave. A district spokesperson said there were irregularities in parent surveys. Kind of makes me concerned that maybe something is not going right in the school. I mean, ive had a few issues with my daughter at the school with bullying and stuff and nothing has been done yet. Parents are asked to fill out the surveys every year. The results are presented to the board of education and used to evaluate the principal. According to the greeley tribune, results have been overwhelmingly positive. The district released a statement saying they expect the Hr Department to lead the investigation. An investigation in california after a commuter train derails with 214 people on board. Itthappened near san jose, california. The train apparently hit a tree that fell onto the tracks. Nine were hurt, four seriously. Most people got off the train, but some had to be rescued.
