He is being remembered this weekend in multiple Memorial Services across the state of alabama, where he was born. Lewis died last week at the age of 80. His death is not just a loss for our country but a reminder of how far we need to go in the fight for civil rights for all americans. But consider this about 20 years ago, you could seet that disk 100 feet down. Thats the trend that scientists are trying to reverse. But theyre fighting the impacts of climate change, development around the lake, and something added to the lake in the 1960s a tiny invasive shrimp brought in to feed the fish. It didnt work.
