Alyssa and her family are bracing for the worst. Here where we have everything from wipes and hand sanitizer. Reporter they have candles, flashlights, batteries. We have about six case of water cases of water. Reporter and in the garage . We have all of our supplies. Everything from my wood. Pli wood. We have nails, tarps in case there is a hole in the roof, just all kinds of things to this is by no means her first brush with a tropical storm, but this is definitely the biggest storm she has seen. Sometimes it will just rip through the house and you hear that loud sound, and it is scary. Reporter she takes us on a tour outsidehouse. You can see we just have downed branches, and it is raining a medium amount. I dont know if you can hear that rain. Reporter and in the back yard, a nearby pond is already starting to flood. About half of our neighbors half of us stayed. We have a pediatrician next door. We have several people down at the end and everybody kind of has a job. Were going to move back in. The emergency crews are now working to check on those who kid not leave and heed those evacuation orders before that storm hit. The red cross workers here the arizona are on their way to help out those impactedded by Hurricane Matthew. Two of them are driving an Emergency Response vehicle all the way to florida. They packed up this emergency and hit the road. And once they arrive, these volunteer a meals and other supplies for storm victims and no doubt helping many people ho are helping the storm victims. Theyre going to help them in addition to the victims. And there is unfortunately a lot of destruction probably still to come. [ a lot more to come. We have seen pictures like this coming in from all up and down the coastline of florida. This will just continue moving this image tomorrow. It is going to look completely different. Expecting very strong winds upwards of 10 to 12 inches of defined eye that you can see on radar. Look at all of that rain from myrtle beach all the way back down to jacksonville. Florida is starting to clear out just a little bit, but this storm is not done. Look at these 48hour rainfall totals. Basically five to 10 inches from savannah all the way back down towards jacksonville. This will put this into comparison just a little bit. The forecast rainfall total in north carolina, 12 inches of rain. Here in phoenix, we have to go all the today. Our rain total, 12. 75 inches. So it shows you how much rain theyre dealing with. Here in the valley, we have a slight chance of rain. Were also going to cool the temperatures off a bit. Look at your high temperatures across the past week. We topped out at 97 degrees. It was really nice to start the week and those temperature also start to come down. Here is a look at the forecast. Enjoy this weather. 88 degrees by 8 00. We see some strong to severe thunderstorms. Those could easily send dust back in towards phoenix. We still can easily see that blowing dust.
