A state parks ranger and rescue swimmers were unable to reach the teen monday. They said she was swept into the water by a rogue wave. Sotit was flooding yesterday in our back yard, maybe a foot. This is about 15 foot higher than it was this morning. Their back yard and basement are now flooded. Tuesday the family spent the afternoon stacking sandbags to try to keep the problem from getting any worse. Sot its actually helping, i wish we had the sandbags a little earlier. A half mile to the south, flood waters complete covered this section of 16th street near the Williams Street bridge. Nats lives on this block. His house is now completely surrounded by water. Sotyeah, we have a big remodel in the back yard and thats all under water right now. We also have three feet of water in the basementfor the time being, he and his family are going to stay with friends across the street. Hes hoping the water recedes soon. Sotits really suprising. We werent expecting that at all. We have flood insurance. I didnt want to pay for it, but i have to because i have a mortgage. So im really glad i have it now. I have it now.
