This started on friday when a bunch of 5th graders here at dublin elementary started getting sick at school. Then monday 70 kids were absent. About half of those reporting symptoms of the stomach flu. The district says theyve had one case confirmed to be norovirus. A troop of custodial workers cleaned every surface in the school over the weekend. The department of health has been here checking on their progress. And today more desks were being sprayed with a bleach solution and wiped down. And the carpets deep cleaned. And then dried with fans. Vallejo police have identified the officer seen punching a suspect in this video, which has gone viral over what some see as excessive use of force. Hes Spencer Bottomley, a former marine, who joined the police force in 2015, according to the city of vallejos website. The video was captured on friday as bottomley was taking suspect dejuan hall into custody. Hall has been charged with resisting an officer and battery on an officer. Leisure is making his way out of a canal and back toward the sacramento river. Marine mammal experts were working to rescue the young sea lion from the canal. But say he may free himself. The male sea lion was first spotted swimming near the Irrigation Canal yesterday morning. Crews believe the mammal traveled up the sacramento river, took a wrong turn and followed a series of waterways to reach the canal. They are now monitoring the sea lions progress.
