A 26year old intern was mauled inside a cage at cat haven a wild animal preserve in dunlap, about 45 miles east of fresno. The adult africa lion who we see here. Named cous cous. This is not video of the woman who was killed. The man in this clip is the exotic zoos founder. He says the intern entered couzies cage and was then attacked. A fellow zoo worker tried to lure the lion into a different enclosure, but it was not successful. Help did not reach the woman until the deputy shot and killed the lion. By that point, the intern was dead. The four year old lion was raised at this sanctuary since it was a cub. And like most healthy adult lions. It eats a whole lot, every day. , he eats about 8 lbs. Of red meat and chicken per day. The usda inspected the 100acre facility just last month and did not find any violations. Tonight. Oaklands new police consultant. William bratton. Outlined his plans for turning around the troubled department. He is a former police chief in los angeles. And he advocates some controversial policing methods.
