Fox 10 news at 9 00 starts now. Dozens of firefighters tonight battling a brush fire burning in southwest phoenix. Skyfox over the scene near 91st avenue and baseline. Officials say heavy brush at the bottom of the riverbed is on fi this is a fairly rural area, so fortunately no homes affected, but you will see or, you know, see the flames, smell the smoke in the area, no question about that. A pedestrian hit by a car, rushed to a hospital, we are told the person is in very bad shape. This happened in north phoenix, tatum and thunderbird, we are told the road will be shut down for several hours tonight. Danielle is live at the scene for us. Reporter john and marc, a several police still on scene, investigating this, trying to figure out exactly what happened here. Take a look right here. This is the vehicle that police are telling us that hit this man in his 40s. You can see extreme damage to the front. But police are telling us that the driver of that vehicle did stay on scene. That driver is cooperating. And at this time it does not appear that alcohol was a factor in the case of the driver in this case. But take a look over here. We are right in front of scottsdale christian academy. There is a Football Game going on right now not sure at this time if this man was possibly crossing the street to make it to the Football Game or across the street leaving the Football Game. So just not sure at this time. All we know is that this was a man in his forties, now listed in extremely Critical Condition and as you can see guys, right here, tatum boulevard is closed, the southbound lanes at this time. The northbound lanes are not affected, but police are telling us that this whole area will be shut down for several more hours trying to figure out exactly what happened. So if you have to be in this area for any reason, definitely give yourself plenty of extra time. There is, like i said, the northbound lanes still open. Just the southbound lanes that are affected at this time. If we get any updated information on this case, well bring you the latest as it becomes available. This happened earlier tonight at the intersection of 94th street heres what happened. Police tell us that the driver of the car making a left turn on to 94th street when a motorcycle into them. This is typically what we see happen. Sometimes the drivers turn left in front of the motorcyclists. The investigation is still ongoing but Scottsdale Police say that intersection is going to be closed for several more hours. Just in, a threemonthold baby left unattended in a bathtub full of water for nearly half an hour has died. Clark is under arrest tonight facing seconddegree murder charges. Her baby girl found unresponsive at a home in a tub in Prescott Valley. The infant flown to a hospital in phoenix where she passed away tonight. The body camera video of yesterdays Police Shooting up in kingman has now been released and one officer was wounded in this. The suspect was shot and killed when police returned fire. Now the video shows us how quickly police situations can escalate and we do want you that the video you are about to see may not be suitable for younger viewers. The video begins with a group of Kingman Police officers approaching a home. They knock on doort and announce they are there to serve a search warrant. Officers yell at a man to drop a weapon but the man continues standing there. After repeated commands, the officers call for the use of a taser, and thats when the man another had a bullet pass through his clothing but was not wounded, the suspect shot and killed. All of the officers were wearing bulletproof vests, the Bullhead CityPolice Department investigating the shooting. And the detective who was shot is in serious but stable condition tonight. 57yearold Dennis Gilbert is one of the two officers who fired on the suspect. He and the other detective have been placed on administrative av officer involved shootings. El cajon police releasing two in videos showing the shooting of alfred olango, who was unarmed at the time. The question is, will the release of this video calm the protests . So far its been fairly quiet tonight, especially compared to whats happened the last few nights. One video is from a surveillance camera, the other from a witness, and in both videos you surrounding the 38yearold after his sister called 911 and reported him acting erratically. Officers say as they approached olango, he took a, quote, shooting stance before he was shot. Earlier today, police explained why they decided to release the videos. We came to the decision based on our collective concern for the publics safety. At the end of the day, it was most important that we put this information out, this video out for the community and the public. That was our and police also showed the fourinch Electronic Cigarette device that olango was hold when he was shot. He is a ugandan refugee with a history of mental illness. In an area of southwest phoenix for the second time this month body parts are found near a business. Who found the decomposing body on the south side of a salt riverbed, coming two weeks after body parts were found in the area.
