Nathan oneal is live in the newsroom to explain how some families are fighting back. Right. For 3,000 students, this is their reality for public school. Virtual education. Five families have come forward with this lawsuit to try to keep their school from getting shut down. Dont close the school down. Dont make a mistake. From high school. A lot of people dont have the ability to have an education. Dont do this. The kids can are our future. Joe benjamin enrolled all six of his kids through the academy. His family is one of several success stories. All highperforming students. This family is one of five families trying to stop the state board that schools from shutting it down. This school has been on an Improvement Plan for months to boost low graduation rates. This school hovering around 35 , graduation right at the highest level when the state standard is at least 60 . We are weve offered to take closure off the table for the next three years. Were asking us not to fight us agreed to that. The Charter School authority said its open to negotiations as long as the school agrees to benchmark that. The animal refuge says they are taking time to go through each adoption application with care to make sure they select the best homes for those great danes.
