Were here off of highway 152 on lovers lane. The water has reseated quite a bit. Im in my rain boots. It is much higher further down. Behind me, you see the pasture. It has turned into a swampy lake. And really the road here is turned into a rushing river the farther down that you go. Now, we did hop into a cal fire engine to see how high the water got. It is knee deep, maybe even higher and rushing into the homes in the neighborhood. Hollister fire started getting 911 calls from panicked residents who were trapped and couldnt get out of their homes. Many had children with them and pets. Urban search and rescue teams b pe to safety. All of the accumulated rainfall over the past couple days are causing all of these problems. The wettest ever so far for some up in the northern sierra index. Wetter than 82, 83. So far. Last year this time it was all about el nino. Are we getting more rain now than we did in el nino. Yes. By far much its a large planet. The arctic has been extremely warm. Right. Incredible cold throughout parts of asia and europe. Unbelievable snow in parts of italy and greece snow on some of the beaches. Unheard of. Maybe its our turn. El nina is usually good for us. Obviously it is for us so far. Thank you, steve. Emergency crews helped two children and their grandparents get out safely. No one was hurt by the home and car were damaged. Along with the rain and wind, the storm generated thunder and lightning in the bay area. Were sharing video from Christopher Monroe driving across the bay bridge in the rain when he saw this flash of lightning amid a downpour. The sierra keeps getting pounded for snow. A portion of 80 is closed right now. More of what you need to know if youre planning to head to tahoe or reno. Good morning. We still see a lot of slow traffic out there this morning. Although things have improved in the san jose area. We will fill you in about highway 17. It looks like we will get a break. Not a lot of rain. A little bit into today. But one more system tonight and tomorrow. 7 29. That road closed sign can mean trouble for some commuters in the east bay. Because this is what is happening in fremont where niles canyon road is closed to fremont because of a mudslide there. You know. You have been living through it, several days of heavy rain. Landslides happening in the east bay and north and south as well. We will bring in Steve Paulson to talk about a break in the rain and another change in the weather in just a moment. We will mention briefly were half an hour away from the News Conference of president elect donald trump. We will bring that to you in its entirety. Steve paulson is here to talk about what is in store for today. Not a lot of rain today, gasia. Thank goodness. Some in the mix. Scattered showers. Things are decreasing a little bit, except down towards the Santa Cruz Mountains and santa cruz proper. Still some activity there. A lot less than we have seen for parts of marin county and the east bay over the past 24 i should say last couple hours here. Pretty good rain from 580, 680 down to the grade. It looks like it is moving east. Milpitas, san jose, back over to 39, skyline and 17 and right by capitola, a good cell going through. And again into the Santa Cruz Mountains which is i think theyre still in line for the next 12 hours or so. 40s and 50s, much colder air spilling in. There will be a breeze and mostly cloudy day. Theres the next system. You can see where it is taking aim. More towards San Francisco south. In the north bay, this is a system that will not favor you but favor areas from the peninsula to the south bay tonight and tomorrow. Still scattered showers in the mix. Were not done yet. 50s on the temps. Sal, i want to get this out right now. Because cold air is coming in on the weekend. There might be lows around freezing. You know what that will mean with all of the water. Black ice. I mean unprecedented possibly. Yeah. So for us. For us. If you have to drive Early Morning and at night. And you say it is coldest right before sunrise. So if youre driving early in the morning, thats when you will likely see it. Thank you, steve. Good headsup from you. Lets look at the bay bridge toll plaza right now. The traffic is backed up all the way out to the maze. Thats not unusual. Pardon me. Traffic getting on to the bridge doesnt look bad. I mentioned an accident northbound 101 near moffitt field. The traffic is jammed getting up to that point. If youre not counting the Santa Cruz Mountains which has been very slow and the Santa Cruz Mountains commute has been slow because of a couple of things. Southbound there was a rock slide near the area of the cats restaurant. But northbound is very slow coming out of Scotts Valley and into the glenwood area because of oneway Traffic Control. Traffic is getting through. But it is very slow. Some people have reported it is taking an hour to get through the area. So please give yourself extra time. A lot of flooding and closures. And while we finally get a break from the rain, it looks like 280 is going to be looking pretty good. And it is dry here. And, again, as i was mentioning, as we get a break from tonight, there are serious concerns about flooding along the Russian River. Alex savidge is live in guerneville to tell us how much higher the water is expected to rise. Alex. Reporter good morning, sal. I can tell you being here yesterday compared to today, the water significantly higher in guerneville. I will show you the shot here. We just got to town. This is the scene along drake road. And the water has come up quite a bit compared to yesterday. People in guerneville in this area have not seen the worst of the flooding. The Russian River right now is about five feet above flood stage. And it will likely rise at least another foot or so later today. Theres somebody in this house too actually. This one and this one. Reporter and you can see entire neighborhoods here in guerneville are under water. Russian river firefighters were out on a rescue boat late yesterday. Going door to door and checking on people who remained inside their homes surrounded by water. Some people are running lows on supplies. They decided they wanted to be rescued. Firefighters will remain on stand by as waters continue to rise. They understand why some people just dont want to leave. Its peoples belongings. Your house is your castle. They have been out here for a number of years and theyre familiar with what happens. With what is predicted tomorrow, that will be the highest it has been in ten year 2006 was the highest that i remember it. Reporter and i want to bring you back out here to a live picture, if you can. You can see you have a number of folks here on their kayaks and canoes and they are canoeing down drake road. Im not sure where they are going. But the Russian River expected to crest at 38 feet later today. That is not enough water to reach into the downtown area. A lot of the lowlying areas inundated with water. But the downtown area remains untouched. Hopefully that will remain the case later today as the river continues to rise. So many people affected. Thank you, alex. A tree came down on a power pole behind the school and the outage is ongoing. That means no school for montero middle school students. There are a number of closures in the north bay as well. There is a list on ktvu. Com. Find it under the web links tab on the top of the home page. The time is 7 35. The latest storms have dropped enough water to fill up four south bay reservoirs. People went out to look at the lexington reservoir. After years of low water levels, it is now releasing water. It is falling nolos gatos creek. Now the trails are closed. That didnt seem to bother one couple who liked all of the rain. This is pretty incredible weather. We havent seen Something Like this for ten years. We were excited that california is finally recovering from drought. Other people said they are ready for a couple of days of sunshine so the ground can soak up some of the water. Even they said they hope it keeps raining through the winter and early spring. Well, bart is now running this morning after a really tough evening commute. Bart was forced to shut down the tracks between the colma station and the 24th station in San Francisco for almost four hours last night because a train hit a tree that was blown down on to the tracks. Fortunately no one was hurt. The passengers on that entire line had to make other plans and there were long delays. Lays. Trying to get home. Stuck taking muni, trying to figure out how to get down to the peninsula. I probably wont get home until 11 30 due to the weather. Bart did bring in buses to take passengers to stations where the trains were running. And it took hours for crews to cut up that tree on the tracks and remove it. Then bart had to retest the tracks before they could resume full operations on that line last night. Driving to and from the sierra, you will feel the effect of the storm without a date. Interstate 80 is still closed between colfax and the nevada state line. Blowing snow is making it difficult to see. Highway 50 is open again after road crews finished their avalanche control work. Still chains are required between myers and san flat and El Dorado County unless you have a 4wheeldrive vehicle with snow tires. Between two to four feet fell in lake tahoe in the last day. There have been blizzard conditions overnight. But several resort operators say they will be open today. That includes squaw valley, diamond peak, heavenly, kirkwood and soda springs. They are warning there could be limited operations while th continue safety checks. They will decide by 10 00 this morning if they will open today or instead remain closed. Also here are photos to share taken near truckee by steven. He took them after Alpine Meadows started conducting avalanche operations near his home. A mound of snow came ashing right through his front door. No doubt a big cleanup job and one of the only time thats people will find themselves shoveling snow out of their living room. Can you imagine . Wow. Lets take a look at what is happening at borela ski resort. A number of ski resorts were closed in the past couple of days. If you have plans to go, if you are hoping to go, we see a plow in action there. Make sure that you check before you make that long drive up there. What a disappointment that would be. Gasia, the National Weather Service Confirms it. A tornado touched down near sacramento. It was an ef0 tornado which means there is usually only minor damage. No injuries reported. The area is closed while crews investigate. 2,000 people were asked to leave their homes last night in sacramento county. The entire community of wilton is being threatened by the river southeast of the state capital. Some people voluntarily evacuated but others say they cant go because they have no way to get their farm animals to safety. The National Weather service says four days of rain have flooded streets and now that river is good b. To overflow its banks. The forecast says before the morning is over, the river will be a foot above flood stage. Well, its expected to be a better day at the local airports now ththe storm pretty much passed for now. We did check. No serious flight delays or cancellations because of weather this morning. At San Francisco international airport. Sfo says they may be short day holds for a few flights but they will last only 15 minutes or less. Oakland has four delays. San jose reports all of its arrivals and departures are on time. The time is 7 40. Just 20 minutes away from president elect Donald Trumps first News Conference in five months. Were going to bring it to you live the moment it starts. But first, the Harlem Globetrotters may have found their newest star. Up next, the guy in the middle, the steph curry puts on an exhibition with the help of his friends. Good morning. We are looking at a commute where traffic is doing very well in some areas and not so well in other areas. There are a lot of closures out there. The bay bridge doesnt look bad but it is backed up for a 20 minute delay. We need a break. Were going to get one. A little bit of sun here. Scattered showers in the mix. Then we will see colder air coming in on the weekend. As ceo of exxonmobile. Rex tillerson put exxons interests before americas im not here to represent the us governments interest. Instead, tillerson sided with putin. With billions in russian oil deals. He opposed us sanctions on russia. For war crimes forced to pay hundreds of millions for toxic pollution. Putting profits ahead of our kids health. Tell your senators to reject rex tillerson. And protect american interests not corporate interests. California is not the only state getting pounded by a winter storm. Take a look at this video from oregon. A winter storm warning in effect in portland after several inches of snow fell today. Drivers are having a tough time getting around. Rtland doesnt use salt on ars. The roads because of Environmental Concerns but the department of transportation is now considering using salt as soon as it figures out where to store it. In Sonoma County, a Nonprofit Organization that rescues dogs needs help themselves because of the storms. It was flooded over the weekend by four inches of water. They let dogs roam free in their building. But a lot of the dogs didnt like that cold rain water on their paws. A little more surprised and stressed for some of them. We had just sold 19 dogs from the shelter and transferred them into our care on friday and saturday. It was not the wawelcome we had hoped and planned for them. Damage to the shelter is estimated at more than 20,000. The staff there is caring for the dogs around the clock. Keeping them warm with jackets and blankets. The shelter set up a gofundme account looking for donations. We posted a link to the site on ktvu. Com. No klay thompson, no problem for the warriors. After battling an illness for a week, thompson was out again to get his strength and energy back. 3rd quarter the team started to pull away. 28 points from kevin durant and 24 for steph curry for the night. The warriors won. No, steph curry is not switching teams but he impressed the Harlem Globetrotters at oracle last night. The globetrotters taught him to how spin a basketball on his finger, something thati thought he probably knew how to do from the age of 7. Will the globetrotters will be able to teach us that coming up on the 9. We will find out. They are joining us on the 9 in studio. Make me proud, gasia. I will do my best not to embarrass you. Sal, i have seen you do it. I know you will make me proud. We will be applauding. And i have my i have my manicure going. I will get on that. I will be able to show my fingers on tv. Have to show you which finger i show you. Nevertheless, we have a lot going on this morning when it comes to slow traffic. Highway 24 is not as bad as it was yesterday. But it is a little slow. We have a little bit of standing i wouldnt even call it standing water. It is water coming off of the hills. And several drivers have reported hydroplaning in the area. Highway 24 is busy between lafayette, orinda and oakland. Sterday but still not great. By the way, you see bart train running here. No major delays this morning. Its a good option for you to get to the city or to wherever youre going. This is a look at the bay bridge. That is backed up for a 20, 25 minute delay before you make it into San Francisco. The big problem has been in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Northbound 17 very big delays coming through. There is oneway Traffic Control just north of Scotts Valley because of mud and dirt. They do have the road open but theyre doing they have one lane open northbound and southbound. Its not oneway Traffic Control. It is reduced number of lanes. That is causing slower than usual traffic. Now lets bring in steve with todays weather. Were getting a break. Good. We need it. Scattered rain around. Not a lot. But occasionally might get a burst or two. Rainbow action. Where are we looking . Just throw it up there. Steve will make something up. All right. Lets go. We have scattered showers around. Patty t says please tell me no more rain for st. Helena. If theres any rain today, it wont amount to much. After tomorrows system, it wont favor areas of napa county or Sonoma County but more to the south. You will get a break. Maybe only until the weekend. Watch out for cold temps going into the weekend as well. Chelsea schmidt said it is still raining in concord. Yes. Not a lot but you can see a little moving through right there. Brentwood, Contra Costa County still in there. After that, it is hit and miss. Today will be a day for rainbows for sure. A possibility for showers. Things have calmed down on the sonoma grade. Still rain from san jose back over to saratoga. The Santa Cruz Mountains will get more. They dont need more though. Over to morgan hill, san martin and also gilroy. 40s, 50s on the temps. They will get colder. The good news to the north, we are getting a break. From mendocino county, lake county, Sonoma County and lake county, enjoy the break while you have it. You will get it through most of tomorrow. If there is rain tomorrow, mainly to the south. A little bit of a breeze will kick up. You can see where the energy is focusing. Every system that comes in makes it. We will keep rain in the forecast for tonight and into tomorrow. But i think the heavier amounts will be to the south. But still occasionally scattered showers today. We will keep things active but nothing compared to yesterday. That is for sure. Thank goodness. Otherwise we would be in deep petunas. Theres going to be a lot of ice around in some of the hills and also the rural areas. Dave. Thank you, steve. The time is 7 50. They say olango was in a shooting stance and wrapped his hands around an object that the officer thought was a gun. It turned out to be an e cigarette device. Formal sentencing is scheduled today for the man convicted of killing nine africanamerican Church Members in South Carolina church two years ago. Businesses near the center are taking steps now to try to attract new business when the Convention Center partially shuts down later this year. Starting in april north and south will be shut down for five months during a half billion dollars expansion project. Analysts expect at least 290,000 fewer people will come to San Francisco for conventions during that time. Now hotels and tourism groups are focusing on attracting international visitors. Fewer conventions will mean fewer days of peak period prices at hotels and less expensive rooms could draw in other visitors looking for the San Francisco experience at a lower price. Well, a unique adventure and the chance of a lifetime for a young cancer patient in arizona. He went on a Treasure Hunt inside an amazon fulfillment center. Were talking about 8yearold ben. He was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. He and his family depended, relied on amazon to deliver much needed supplies to their home in tucson. During that time, ben became obsessed with how the Amazon Online system worked and how packages made it to the warehouse to his front door. So amazon let him see for himself and he was able to pick out a few gifts along the way. I saw all of the things that made it move and stuff. All of those yellow the things that made the yellow boxes move. He picked out kindles, art supplies and lego toys. She ordered something every other day just so he could get a package because it gave him something to look forward to. 7 57. Time now to check in with mike and gasia. Thank you, dave. We continue to keep an eye on the problems caused by the storms across the bay area. Plus in just a few minutes from now, president elect trump will hold his first News Conference in five months. We will bring it to you live. This is ktvu mornings on 2. 8 00. Welcome back to mornings on 2. Im gasia mikaelian. We are waiting any minute to hear from president elect donald trump. He was set to start the News Conference at 8 00. It is clearly not happening yet. Here is a live look inside the room in new york city where we will hear the president elect hold his first News Conference in about five months. Were waiting for this. When it starts, we will bring it to you in its entirety. I expect obamacare and cabinet nominations to be touched on today. It has been 160 days since he heldsa last News Conference. He has been on twitter. Tweeting 1500, 1600 times i think i read last night. You talk about repeal or replace obamacare just one topic that im sure he will be asked about. Im curious to see about his demeanor, his attitude, if it will be the same that we have seen in the past during the campaign. If hes going to change compared to his last News Conference that was held about five minutes ago. We are being told that we got the two minute warning about 30 seconds ago. The president elect is expected to walk out in about a minute. We have heard from the president elect through 1500 tweets through recorded messages released. We have seen him in the lobby of trump tower standing next to kanye west and don king. But a News Conference is special because they have to answer questions. Theyre not putting out a tightly controlled, tightly scripted tightly worded tweet, if you will. That is the first time it has happened. It is dating back to carter and beyond for president elects to hold their first News Conference within days of being elected. Again the last time that we heard from donald trump in this capacity was back in july. Again, we expect him to touch on obamacare, the timing and sequencing of what appears to be perhaps the unraveling of it. What might replace it. This comes in a busy week. A number of cabinet members have been testifying about their records this week. I was watching the Committee Hearing on rex tillerson. Getting grilled this morning by senator marco rubio, a onetime candidate for the presidency. And then of course Jeff Sessions yesterday back at it today. The senator from alabama who is the nominee for attorney general. A lot of politics going on right now. But i think the focus of those folks watching the Senate Confirmation hearings may watch this News Conference that is about to take place as we see folks walking up to the podium here on the trump team. And you mentioned the obamacare. The other thing i was interested about too is he has announced he will close down his Charitable Foundation which is under investigation. But is he going to follow through with that in regards to wiping his hands clear of that foundation, as well as all of his business businesses across the globe. And you think about the fact that theres a relationship here that mr. Trump has with the people in the room. For the most part they are reporters. He has not been shy at all about speaking out against what he calls the dishonest media. Now for the first time in months, he is going to be facing a room of reporters and taking questions and answering them from some of the very journalists he has spoken out against in a very strong way in the months during and after the president ial election. So you mentioned what the tone will be. You know, of course the word temperament was largely used throughout the president ial election as to does he have a temperament fit to hold the highest office in the land. So all of these things coming under a lot of scrutiny. A News Conference is unscripted. And i believe these are past pictures of course of mr. Trump as he has been meeting with other business leaders. He has been making a big push to keep american jobs in the United States, trying to prevent companies from outsourcing, if you will, bring outsourced jobs back to the u. S. That is a large goal of his. In the lobby of trump tower, he made a couple of comments, answered one or two questions. The lobby is where we saw kanye west and other people who people might easily recognize. As we look back on the pictures that take us through the campaign and the months following the election, were waiting to hear from donald trump for the first time in a News Conference capacity. Another hot topic is russia. Right. I was watching Rex Tillersons hearing this morning and senator rubio asked him would you describe putin as a war criminal . And he said no, not with the information that i have. Rubio talking about the citizens of aleppo and being killed by russian forces. So donald trump. And then yesterday there was a report out that classified documents that were presented not only to the president elect but president obama last week included allegations that russian operatives claim to have compromising financial and personal information about mr. Trump. That will come up since that was out there yesterday in the news cycle. So russia, another big topic at this News Conference. He has made a number of statements about who he wants to see in his cabinet. One question he has yet to answer is if he will remain james comey of the fbi. James comey linked to the investigation of Hillary Clinton and her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state. That fbi director question, will comey stay or go also one of the Unanswered Questions out there. At this point you can tell we are past that twominute mark. We will keep an eye on this and bring it to you the moment it gives. The other big story we have been tracking for several days, mike, is the weather. A lot of flooding happening, rescues happening all around the bay area. North bay and south bay getting hit. Sierra, a ton of snow. If i can, lets pick up on our weather coverage. This has been the story we have been bringing you for a number of days. And i do believe that we have weather and traffic up next. So we will start with Steve Paulson, if you are available to join us. You got me . I hear you. Gotcha. Mike, how much rain did you have. Ten inches since saturday morning. I believe it. Thank you. Reports coming in of almost a foot of rain for some. Lets get right to it. Do we have that rainbow picture or not . Is that still in there . Did that go away . My good friend bob in danville, west danville, had a whopping 3. 82 in the last 24 hours. I was there for three inches of that yesterday. Including. 41 in 15 minutes from the midnight thunderstorm that woke me up. Yes, it was torrential. We had a nice rainbow right there now its gone. Still there will be some around today. Whats that blue in there . I have no idea what that blue is. Anyway, that is impressive. Thank you, bob, for that. Incredible rain. Some of the rain totals coming in. Orinda hills, no wonder theres water on 24. Concord, an inch and a half at least. Sfo an inch and a quarter. Other locations checking in. Sleepy hollow 5. Lexington over 3. Ukiah 2 and two of this two and two thirds. I can do a list of about a thousand. Different. Light rain moving through. Not as much as we had two hours ago. Still we will keep scattered showers in the mix. Occasionally these pop through. Brief heavy rain and then sun. We could use drying out. We will get a little bit towards the Santa Cruz Mountains in a couple hours. One more system on its way for tonight and tomorrow. 40s and 50s. The next system looks like it will take most of its energy from about San Francisco south to the Santa Cruz Mountains and monterey. After that, we will get a break as the next series of systems stays out of here until at least next tuesday. 50s on the temps. Sal, anything good to report . Unfortunately not. And im keeping my eye if the president elect walks out, we will toss it back to the anchors here. Lets talk about the maps. I want to talk about a sig alert after the 580 interchange. A tree came down and blocking the lanes. This will have a major effect on the morning commute on 580 and 238. Avoid the area. It looks like it will take a while to get rid of the tree. If youre trying to get into the city via the bay bridge, it backed up for 15 to 20 minutes. The morning commute is also going to be slow 80 northbound and southbound here as you drive past the coliseum. Mostly northbound on the right. Southbound as you get into hayward. I want to mention the Santa Cruz Mountains. We have that problem southbound that they have been clearing up on the commute here southbound. But northbound is really a mess. If youre driving from santa cruz over the hill, you are going to see a lot of slow traffic. It is oneway Traffic Control in the glenwood area north of Scotts Valley because of debris in one of the lanes. They are using the lanes there. But they dont have all of the lanes. That means that traffic will be very slow on 17. Of course there are several closures around the bay. Niles cannot canyon road is closed between 680 and mission boulevard. Drive carefully in that area. At 8 09, lets go back to the desk. Thank you, sal. We will talk about the weather happening up in the north bay. Scary moments for a family in marin county after a mudslide happened. This was on alima road in fairfax. Emergency crews helped two children and grandparents out to safety. Downtown is back open this morning after being closed for hours last night due to flooding. The creek crested at 7 00 in the evening. Downtown businesses and residential areas had to be evacuated. Evacuation centers went off in roth and fairfax. One of the towns busiest streets was shut down as a precaution. Officials gave the allclear sing national once the creek started to recede. The big storm generated thunder and lightning here in the bay area. Look at this video sent to us from Christopher Monroe driving across the bay bridge in the rain and he sees that flash of lightning come down in the middle of a downpour. People in Contra Costa County reported lightning and thunder around midnight last night. Part of highway 9 is closed after a landslide stranded vehicles and trucks for hours. Crews responds to reports of a large tree knocking downpour lines just before 7 00. More than half a dozen vehicles including a fedex truck were stuck because of a landslide behind them and blocked them from turning around. Work crews and a tree removal crew cleared the tree and they were finally able to drive out. We got stuck behind the tree. We couldnt get out. Couldnt go back up. We had to wait for them to clear it. How long was that . About six hours. Highway 9 between highway 35 and pierce road is still closed. We dont know when that area will reopen to traffic. And the city of benecia declared a local emergency because of the recent storms. The benecia Fire Department posted these photos of the flooding at high tide at the end of 5th street at the benecia marina. The city is reporting flooded homes, toppled trees and overwhelmed drain systems. Everybody is encouraged tostay off of the flood zones and closed off streets. It forces some businesses in the Industrial Park to evacuate. We will take you back to the room in new york city where donald trump was expected to start his News Conference. This was supposed to start at 8 00. We have been watching this room, a live feed. We have seen more and more people walk in. More and more reporters stand up and explain that the News Conference is running late. We have a San Francisco chronicle Senior Writer here by our side. Is this indicative of something other than just running late. This isnt four years of running late. Im going to do it my way. It is trump time. What do you think the hot topic will be . Ive got a list of topics. What we should be listening for not only is what he says but what he doesnt say. Were going to have a list of questions afterwards. Are we talking about. Lets start with the russian hacking stuff and the blackmail. We want to see how he answers that. How about the nepotism. He has his soninlaw. How will he disentangle his businesses. Now it sounds like the taxpayers are going to pay for the wall and mexico will reimburse us later. The president elect is walking up to the podium. How long do you think this is going to be . 30 minutes and done. He may have a long speech. It could go on an hour and a half. Lets listen in to the introduction here. To allow the president elect to take your questions. After the president elect makes some remarks, we will introduce sherry gill man a prominent attorney with morgan, lewis who structured the agreements pursuant to the president s business arrangements and will give brief remarks. Before we start, i want to bring your attention to a report published last night. Its frankly outrageous and highly irresponsible for a left wing blogger to hostile the campaign to draw flat out false information on the internet days before he takes the oath of office. According to buzzfeeds own editor, there are serious reasons to doubt the allegations in the report. The executive editor of the New York Times also dismissed the reporter by saying it was, quote, totally unsubstantiated echoing the concerns that many reporters expressed on the internet. The fact that buzzfeed and cnn made the decision to run with this unsubstantiated claim is trying to get clicks. One issue that the report talked about was the relationship of three individuals associated with the campaign. These three individuals. Carter page is an individual that the president elect does not know and was put on notice months ago by the campaign. Paul manafort has denied any of this involvement. And Michael Cohen who was said to have visited prague did not leave the United States during this time. We asked him to produce his passport and there was no doubt that he was not in prague. In fact, he has never been in prague. A new report actually suggests that Michael Cohen was the university of Southern California with his son at a baseball game. One report now suggests apparently it is another Michael Cohen. For all of the talk about fake news, this political witch hunt by some of the media is based on some of the flip see reported and frankly shameful and disgraceful. With that, it is my honor to introduce the next Vice President of the United States, mike pence. We are nine days away from the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States of america. Im profoundly honored and humbled that i will take the oath of office to serve as Vice President of the United States nine days from today. Im even more honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with a new president who will make America Great again. Now, the president elects leadership and his energy during the campaign was impressive. But as the chairman of the transition effort, i can assure the American People that his energy and his vision during the course of this transition has been even marin spiring. To see the way he has brought together men and women of extraordinary capability at a historic pace in his cabinet. 19 of the 21 cabinet officials have been announced. Nine Committee Hearings already scheduled. 7 more soon to go on the books in the next several days. It is it is a compilation of men and women with an unprecedented caliber of leadership and background to help this administration move our nation forward. Perhaps thats why theres been such a concerted effort by some in the Mainstream Media to delegitmize this election and the Incoming Administration. I have lock been a supporter of free and independent press. I always be. With freedom comes responsibility. And the irresponsible decision of a few news organizations to run with a false and unsubstantiated report when most news organizations resisted the temptation to promulgate this fake news can only be attributed to media bias and de mean the president elect and the Incoming Administration and the American People are sick and tired of it. But today, we will get back to real news. To real facts. And the Real Progress our incoming president has already made in reviving the American Economy and assembling a team that will make America Great again. So and we will hear from the president elect about issues that are of paramount importance to the American People today. So it is my honor to introduce to all of you my friend and the president elect of the United States of america, donald trump. Thank you very much. It is very familiar territory. News conferences because we used to give them on an almost daily basis. I think we probably maybe won the nomination because of News Conferences. And its good to be with you. We stopped giving them because we were getting quite a bit of inaccurate news. I have to say that and i must say that i want to thank a lot of the news organizations here today. Because they looked at that nonsense that was released by maybe the intelligence agencies, who knows, but maybe the intelligence agencies which would be a tremendous blot on their record if they in fact did that. A tremendous blot. Because a thing like that should never have been written. It should never have been had. And it should certainly never have been released. But i want to thank a lot of the news organizations for some of whom have not treated me very well over the years. A couple in particular and they came out so strongly against that fake news. And the fact that it was written about by primarily one group and one television station. So i just want to compliment many of the people in the room. I have Great Respect for the news and Great Respect for freedom of the press and all of that. But i will tell you, there were some news organizations with all that was just said that were so professional, so incredibly professional that ive just gone up a notch as to what i think of you. Okay. All right. Weve had some great news over the last couple of weeks. Ive been quite active, i guess you could say, in an economic way for the country. A lot of Car Companies are going to be moving in. We have other companies. Big news will be announced over the next couple of weeks about companies that will be building in the midwest. You see fiat chris letter, big, big factory going to be built in this country as opposed to another country. Ford stopped plans for a billion dollar plant in mexico and they will be moving into michigan and expanding very substantially an existing plant. I appreciate that from ford. I appreciate it very much from fiat chrysler. I hope that General Motors will be following. And i think they will be. I think a lot of people will be following. I think a lot of industries are going to be coming back. We have to get our drug industry coming back. Our drug industry has been disastrous. They supply our drugs but dont make them here to a large extent. And the other thing that we have to do is create new bidding procedures for the drug industry because theyre getting away with murder. Pharm has a lot of lobbyists and a lot of power. There is very little bidding on drugs. Were the largest buyer of drugs in the world and yet we dont bid properly. Were going to start bidding. Were going to save billions of dollars over a period of time. And were going to do that with a lot of other industries. Im very much involved with the generals and admirals on the airplane the f35. It is behind schedule and millions and millions over budget. I dont like that. And the admirals have been fantastics. The generals have been fantastic. I have gotten to know them well. Were going to do big things on the f35 program. And perhaps the f18 program. And were going to get those costs way down and were going to get the plane to be even better and were going to have some competition. It will be a beautiful thing. So we have been very, very much involved. And other things. We had jack mah. We had so many incredible people coming here. Theyre going to do tremendous things. Tremendous things in this country. Theyre very excited. I will say if the election didnt turn out the way it turned out, they would not be in here or anyone elses office they would be building and doing things in other countries. There is a great spirit going on right no. A spirit that many people have told me they have never seen before. Ever. Were going to create jobs. I said that i will be the greatest jobs producer that god ever created. And i mean that. I really im going to work very hard on that. We need certain amounts of other things, including a little bit of luck. But i think were going to do a real job. And im really proud of what we have done. We havent even gotten there yet. I look forward to the inauguration. Its going to be a beautiful event. We have great talent, tremendous talent. And we have the all of the bands, most of the bands from the different from the different segments of the military. And ive heard some of these bands over the years. Theyre incredible. Were going to have a very, very elegant day. The 20th is going to be something that is very special and beautiful. And i think we will have massive crowds. Because we have a movement. It is a Movement Like the world has never seen before. It is a movement that a lot of people didnt expect. And even the polls, although some of them did get it right, but many of them didnt. And that was a beautiful scene on november 8th as those states started to pour in. And we focused hard in those states and they really resip indicated. Those jobs are going to have a lot of job and security and good news for their veterans. By the way, speaking of veterans, i appointed today the head secretary of the veterans administration, david shulkin. We will do a news release in a little while and tell you did david. He is fantastic. He is fantastic. He will do a truly great job. One of the commitments that i made is were going to straighten out the whole situation for our veterans. Our veterans have been treated horribly. Theyre waiting for 15, 16, 17 days. Cases where they go in and they have a minor early stage form of cancer and they cant see a doctor. By the time they get to the doctor, theyre terminal. Its not going to happen. Its not going to happen. David is going to do a fantastic job. We will be talking to a few people also to help david. And we have some of the great hospitals of the world going to align themselves with us on the veterans administration. Like the cleveland clinic, like the mayo clinic. A few more that we have. Were going to set up a group. These are hospitals that have been the top of the line. The absolute top of the line. And theyre going to get together with their great doctors. Dr. Toby cosgrove has been very involved. And were going to straighten out the v. A. For our veterans. I have been promising that for a long time. And something that i feel very, very strongly. So you will get the information on david. And i think you will be very impressed with the job that he does. We looked long and hard. We interviewed at least 100 people. Some good, some not so good. But we had a lot of talent. And we think this selection will be something that with time with time straighten it out and straighten it out for good because our veterans have been treated very unfairly. Okay. Questions. Yes. John. Thank you. A couple of aspects. Sure. [unintelligible question] do you accept their opinion that the dnc was hacked . And if you do, how does that color your chance to build a relationship with the leaders . Okay. First of all, these meetings as you know are confidential, classified. So im not allowed to talk about what went on in a meeting. But we had many witnesses in that meeting. Many of them with us. And i will say, again, i think it is a disgrace that information would be let out. I saw the information. I read the information outside of that meeting. Its all fake news. Its phony stuff. It didnt happen. And it was gotten by opponents of ours as you know because you reported it and so did many of the other people. It was a group of opponents that got together, sick people, and they put that crap together. So i will tell you that not within the meeting but out of the meeting, somebody released it. It should never have been number one, it never should have entered paper. It never should have been released. I read what was released and i think it is a disgrace. An absolute disgrace. As far as hacking, i think it was russia but i think we also got hacked by other countries and other people. And i can say that, you know, when we lost 22 million names and Everything Else that was hacked recently, they didnt make a big deal out of that. That was something that was extraordinary. That was probably china. We had we had much hacking going on. One of the things that were going to do, we have some of the greatest computer minds anywhere in the world that we have assembled. You saw a sample of it two weeks ago where we had the six top people in the world. They were never in the same room together as a group. Were going to put those minds together and were going to form a defense. And i have to say this also, the Democratic National committee was totally open to be hacked. They did a very poor job. They could have had hacking defense, which we had. And i will give reince credit. When he saw what was happening in this world and this country, he went out and went to various firms and ordered a very, very strong hacking defense. And they tried to hack the Republican National committee. And they were unable to break through. We have to do that for our country. It is very important. I said how could all of this potentially color your attempts to build a better relationship with president putin. Well, president putin and russia put out a statement that the fake news was indeed fake news. They say it totally never happened. Of course hes going to say that. I respected the fact that he said that. Ill be honest. I think if they had something, they would have released it. They would have been glad to released it. If they broke into the Republican National chitty they would have released it just like they did about hillary and all of the horrible things that all of her people said about him. What he said about her was horrible. If something said about me that he said about hillary, i would have fired him immediately. What he said about her was horrible. Remember this, we talk about the hacking. Hacking is bad. And it shouldnt be done. But look at the things that were hacked. Look at what was learned from that hacking. That Hillary Clinton got the questions to the debate and didnt report it. Thats a horrible thing. Thats a horrible thing. Can you imagine that if donald trump got the questions to the debate, it would have been the biggest story in the history of stories and they would have had said immediately you have to get out of the race. Nobody even talked about it. A very terrible thing. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you mr. President elect. [unintelligible question] will you do what president obama did to punish the russians for this, will you keep it in place. If putin like donald trump, i consider that an asset, not a liability. We have a horrible relationship with russia. Russia can help us physis, which by the way is number one tricky. I mean, if you look at, this administration created isis by leaving at the wrong time. The void was created. Isis was formed. If putin likes donald trump, guess what, folks, thats called an asset, not a liability. Now, i dont know that im going to get along with vladimir putin. I hope i do. Theres a good chance i wont. And if i dont, do you honestly believe that hillary would be tougher on putin than me . Does anyone in this room really believe that . Give me a break. Okay. And i always tell them anywhere but i always tell them if im leaving this country, be very careful because in your hotel rooms and no matter where you go, youre probably going to have cameras. Im not referring just to russia. But i would certainly put them in that category. And number one, i hope youre going to be good anyway. But in those rooms you have cameras in the strangest places. Cameras that are so small with modern technology that you cant see them and you wont know. You better be careful or you will be watching yourself on nightly television. I tell this to people all the time. I was in russia years ago with the Miss Universe contest which did very well in the moscow area. It did very, very well. And i told many people, be careful because you dont want to see yourself on television. Cameras all over the place. and, again, not just russia. All over. Does anyone really believe that story . Im also very much of a germ phobe by the way. Believe me. Based on your comments here today, do you believe the hacking was justified . Does russia have any leverage over you, financial or otherwise . And if not, will you release your tax returns to prove it . I have no dealings with russia. I have no deals in russia. I have no deals that could happen in russia because we have stayed away. I have no loans with russia. As a Real Estate Developer i have very little debt. I have very low debt. But i have no loans with russia at all. And i thought that was important to put out. I certified that. So i have no deals. I have no loans. And i have no dealings. We could make deals in russia very easily if we wanted to. I just dont want to because i think that would be a conflict. So i have no loans, no dealings, and no current pending deals. Now i have to say one other thing. Over the weekend, i was offered 2 billion to do a deal in dubai with a very, very, very amazing man, a great, great developer from the middle east. Hussein de mac. A friend of mine. Great guy. I was offered 2 billion to do a deal in dubai. Number of deals. S. And i turned it down. I didnt have to turn it down. As you know, i have a no conflict situation because im president , which is i didnt know about that until about three months ago. But its a nice thing to have. But i dont want to take advantage of something. I have something that others dont have. Vice president pence also has it. Hes not going to need it. I have a feeling you wont need it. I have a no conflict of interest provision as president. It was many, many years old. They dont want president s i understand. They dont want president s getting tangled up in. They want the president to run the president. I could actually run my business and run government at the same time. I dont like the way that looks, but i would be able to do that if i wanted to. I would be the only one that would be able to do that. You cant do that in any other capacity. As president i could run the Trump Organization, a great, Great Company, and i could run the company the country. But i dont want to do that. All of these papers that you see here. Go ahead. Sure. Do you believe the hacking was justified and will you release your tax returns to prove what youre saying about no deals in russia. Im not releasing the tax returns because they are under audit. Every president has. Gee, ive never heard that. Ive never heard that. The only ones that care about my tax returns are the reporters. No, i dont think so. I won. I mean, i became president. No, i dont think they care at all. I dont think they care at all. I think you care. I think you care. First of all, you learn little from a tax return. Go down to federal elections and learn about the numbers. People have learned about my company and they realize that my company is much bigger and more powerful than they ever thought. Were in many, many countries and im very proud of it. What im going to be doing is my two sons who are right here, don and eric, are going to be running the company. They are going to be running it in a very professional manner. Theyre not going to discuss it with me. Again, i dont have to do this. Theyre not going to discuss it with me. And with that, im going to bring up sherry dylan and she is going to go these papers are just some of the many documents that i have signed turning over complete and total control to my sons. Good morning. My honor and privilege to be here today as president elect trumps request. He has asked me to speak about the conflicts of interest and the steps he is taking. As you know, the Business Empire built by president elect trump over the years is massive. Not dissimilar to the fortunes of Nelson Rockefeller when he became Vice President. At that time, no one was so concerned. President elect trump wants the American Public to rest assured that all of his efforts are directed to pursuing the peoples business and not his own. To that end, as he explained a few moments ago, he directed me and my colleagues at the law firm morgan, lewis and bokius to design a structure that will completely isolate him from the management of the company. He further instructed that we build in protections that will assure the American People the decisions he makes and the actions he takes as president are for their benefit and not to support his financial interests. As he said, he is voluntarily taking this on. The conflicts of interest laws simply do not apply to the president or the Vice President. And they are not required to separate themselves from their financial assets. The primary conflicts of interest statutes, some have questioned is is section 18. Inapplicable by its terms. This is not just our Interpretation Congress made this clear when it amended it to state that. Except as otherwise provided the terms office and employee in section 208 shall not include the president. Even so, president elect trump wants there to be no doubts in the minds of the American Public that he is completely isolating himself from his business interest. He instructed us to take all steps possible to make it clear he is not exploiting the office of the presidency for his personal benefit. He also sought the guidance of individuals who are familiar with and have worked extensively in the field of government ethics and constitutional law. Critical to the morgan, lewis team is Fred Fielding standing to our side and with us today. Many of you have known him. He has served many president s over the years, including Ronald Reagan and george w. Bush as well as serving on george h bushs on law reform and held a position of vice chair of the resource center. Mr. Fielding has been extensively involved with and apro offed this plan. He is here today to support the plan and he will continue to provide guidance as the plan is implemented and as eric, don, along with others take over management of the Trump Organization. Im going to detail some of the extraordinary steps now that the president elect is taking. First, president elect trumps investments and business assets commonly known as the Trump Organization comprises hundreds of entities which again if you all go take a look at his Financial Disclosure statement the pages and pages and pages of entities have all been or will be conveyed to a trust prior to january 20th. Here is just some of the paperwork taking care of those actions. Second, through the trust agreement, he has relinquished leadership and management of the Trump Organization to his sons, don and eric, and a long time trump executive alan. Together the three will have the authority to manage the Trump Organization and will make decisions for the duration of the presidency without any involvement whatsoever by president elect trump. Further, at the president elects direction, the trust agreement provides to ensure the Trump Organization continues to operate in accordance with the highest an ethics advisory will be appointed to the management team. The written approval of the ethics advisory will be required for new deals, actions and transactions that could potentially raise ethics or conflicts of interest concerns. President elect trump as well as don, eric and alan, are committed to ensuring that the activities of the Trump Organization are beyond and cannot be exploited at the office of the presidency. President elect trump will resign from all officer and other positions he holds with the Trump Organization entities. Further, in addition, his daughter ivanka, will have no further involvement with or Management Authority whatsoever with the Trump Organization. As she and jared move their family to d. C. , ivanka will be focused onset willing her children into their new home and new schools. The president elect has also already disposed of all of his investments and publicly traded or easily liquidated investments. As a result, the trust will have two types of assets. First, it will hold liquid assets. Cash, Cash Equivalents and treasuries and traps some positions in a government approved diversified Portfolio One consistent with the regulations of office of government ethics. Second the trust is going to hold his preexisting ill liquid but very valuable business assets that everyone is familiar with. Trump owned operated golf clubs, resorts, hotels, rights to royalties from preexisting licenses of trump marks productions and goods. So things like trump tower, mar alago, all of his business assets, 40 wall street will all be in the trust. Through instructions in the trust agreement, president elect trump first ordered that all pending deals with be terminated. This impacted more than 30 deals, many of which were set to close by the end of 2016. As you can well imagine, that caused an immediate financial loss of millions of dollars, not just for president elect trump but also for dop, ivanka and eric. The trust agreement as directed by President Trump imposes restrictions on new deals. No new foreign deals will be made whatsoever during the duration of President Trumps presidency. New domestic deals will be allowed but they will go through a vigorous vetting process. The president elect will have no role in deciding whether the Trump Organization engages in any new deal. And he will only know of a deal if he reads it in the paper or sees it on tv. Because any new deal could and i emphasize could, be perceived as causing a conflict or is exploiting the office of the presidency. New deals must be vetted with the ethics advisory whose role will be to analyze transactions for conflicts and ethics issues. The ethics advisor will be a recognized advisor in the field of ethics. He will scrutinize new deals and the actions and any new deal must receive written approval. To further reinforce the wall were building between president elect trump and the Trump Organization, president elect trump has ordered through his trust agreement to sharply limit his information rights. Reports will only be available and reflect profit and loss on the company as a whole. There will be no separate business by business accounting. Another step that president elect trump has taken is he created a new position at the trump oh. The position of chief compliance counsel, whose responsibility will be to ensure that the trump businesses are operating at the highest levels of integrity and not taking any action that could exploit the office of the presidency. He has also directed that no communications of the Trump Organization, including social media accounts, will reference or be tied to president elect trumps role as president of the United States or the office of the presidency. In sum, all of these actions completely relinquishment of management, no foreign deals, ethics advisory approval of deals, sharply rights will sever president elect trumps presidency from the Trump Organization. Some have asked questions why not divest . Why not just sell everything . Form a line of trust. I want to address those questions now. Selling first and foremost would not eliminate possibilities of conflicts of interest. In fact, it would exacerbate them. The trump brand is key to the value of the Trump Organizations assets. If president elect trump sold his brand, he would be entitled to royalties for the use of it. And this would result in the trust retaining an interest in the brand without the ability to assure that it does not exploit the office of the presidency. Further, whatever price was paid would be subject to criticism and scrutiny. Was it too high . Is there pay pore play . Was too much paid to curry favor with the president elect . In selling his assets without the rights to the brand would greatly diminish the value of the assets and create a fire sale. President elect trump should not be expected to destroy the company he built. This plan offers a suitable alternative to address the concerns of the American People. Selling the entire Trump Organization isnt even feasible. Some people have suggested that the president elect sell the business to his adult children. This would require massive Third Party Debt sourced with multiple lenders who motives and willingness to participate would be questioned and undoubtedly investigated. And if the president elect were to finance the sale himself, he would retain the financial interests in the assets that he owns now. Some people have suggested that the trump that president elect trump could bundle the assets and turn the Trump Organization into a public company. Anyone who has ever gone through this extraordinarily cumbersome and complicated process knows that it is a nonstarter. It is not realistic. And it would be inappropriate for the Trump Organization. Some people have suggested a blind trust. But you cannot have a totally blind trust with operating businesses. President trump cant unknow that he owns trump tower. And the press will make sure that any new developments at the Trump Organization are well publicized. It would be impossible to find an institutional trustee that would be competent to run the trump oh. The approach that he is taking allows don and eric to preserve the Great Company and iconic assets. It creates a complete separation from president elect trump and separates him and prevents him from participating in the business and poses strict limits on what the trustees can do and requires the assent of any ethics advisory to a new deal. Im going to turn to one last topic today that has been of interest lately called amaluments. We had not heard that word before, many of us. We will describe other actions that president elect trump is taking to avoid a conflict. It comes from the constitution. The constitution says officials may not accept gifts, titles of noble from Foreign Governments with respect to their office. And that no benefit should be derived by holding an office. The socalled clause has never been interpreted however to apply to fair value exchanges that have absolutely nothing to do with an office holder. No one would have thought when the constitution was written that paying your hotel bill was amalument. In instead it would not have been a value for value exchange. But since president elect trump has been elected, some people want to define it to cover routine business transactions like paying for hotel rooms. They suggest that the constitution prohibits the businesses from arms length transactions that the president elect has nothing to do with and isnt even aware of. These people are wrong. This is not what the constitution says. Paying for a hotel room is not a gift or a present and it has nothing to do with an office. The constitution does not require president elect trump to do anything here. But just like with conflicts of interest, he wants to do more than what the constitution requires. So president elect trump has decided and we are announcing today that he is going to voluntarily donate all profits from Foreign Government payments made to his hotels to the United States treasury. This way it is the American People who will profit. In sum, i and president elect advisors at morgan, lewis have determined the approach that we have outlined will avoid conflicts of interest and concerns regarding exploitation of the presidency without unreasonable losses on the president elect and his family. We believe this structure and these steps will serve to accomplish the president elects desire to be isolated from his business interest and give the American People confidence that his sole business and interest is in making America Great again, securing our borders and rebuilding our infrastructure. The American People were well aware of president elect trumps empire and financial interest when they voted. Many people voted for him precisely because of his business success. President elect trump wants to bring the success to all americans. Thank you. Youre welcome. My pleasure. Leasure. Dont want to lose your notes. Notes. There you go. Thank you. [unintelligible question] good question. I really think that when you watch what is going on with what is happening i was just watching as an example rex tillerson. I think it is brilliant what he is doing and what he is saying. I watched yesterday as you know our great senator who is going to be a great attorney general. And he was brilliant. And what people dont know is that he was a great prosecutor. And attorney general in alabama. And he was brilliant yesterday. So i really think that they are i think we have one of the great cabinets ever put together. Together. And weve been hearing that from so many people. People are so happy. In the case of rex, he ran incredibly exxonmobil. When there was a find, he would get it. When they needed something, he would be there. A friend who is very very substantial in the oil business, harold ham, he said there is no one in the business like rex tillerson. Thats what i want to bring to government. I want to bring the greatest people into government. Were way behind. We dont make good deals anymore. I say it all the time in speeches. We dont make good deals. We make bad deals. We have hundreds of billions of dollars in losses, hundreds of billions with china on trade and trade imbalance. With japan, with mexico, with just about everybody. We dont make good deals anymore. So we need people who are smart. We need people who are successful. They got successful because generally speaking theyre smart. And thats what i put in. Im very proud of the cabinet. I think theyre doing very well. It is very interesting how it is going. I think they are doing very, very well. [unintelligible question] sure. Finally obamacare. I thought it was never going to be asked. Uhoh. Through the current obamacare law. Youre going to be very, very proud as not only the media and reporters, youre going to be very proud of what we put forth having to do with health care. Obamacare is a complete and total disaster. They can say what they want. They can guide you any way they want to guide you. In some cases, they guide you incorrectly. In most cases you realize what has happened. It is imploding as we sit. Some states have over 100 increase. And 17 and i said this two years ago, 17 is going to be the bad year. Its going to be catastrophic. Frankly we could sit back and it was a thought from a political standpoint but it wouldnt be fair to the people. We could sit back and wait and watch and criticize. Iticize. And we could be a Chuck Schumer and sit back and criticize it and people would come. They would come. Begging to us. Please, we have to do something about obamacare. Acare. We dont want to own it. We dont want to own it politically. They own it right now. So the easiest thing would be let it implode in 17. And believe me we would get pretty much whatever we wanted but it would take a long time. Were going to be submitting as soon as our secretary is approved, almost simultaneously, shortly thereafter, a plan. It will be repeal and replace. It will be essentially simultaneously. It will be various segments you understand. But will most likely be on the same day and the same week but probably the same day, could be the same hour. Were going to do repeal and replace. Very complicated stuff. And were going to get a health bill passed. Were going to get health care taken care of in this country. You have deductibles that are so high that after people go broke paying their premiums which are going through the roof, the health care couldnt be used because the deductibles are so high. Obamacare is the democrats problem. Were going to take the problem off the shelves for them. Were doing them a Tremendous Service by doing it. We could sit back and let them hang with it. We are doing the democrats a great service. So as soon as our secretary is approved and gets into the office, we will be filing a plan. And it was actually pretty accurately reported today, the New York Times, and the plan will be repeal and replace obamacare. Were going to have a health care that is far less expensive and far better. Okay. Mr. Trump. Which one, mr. President elect. Go ahead. From chatter. When you look at all of the meetings that you have had, do you conceive making this a program, maybe sitting inside of commerce . My followup question, how soon will we see the program on Corporate Tax cuts. I was going to individual companies and people said thats only one company. We did a good job with carrier. We saved close to 1,000 jobs. And they were gone. And mike pence and his staff really helped us a lot. But those that was a tough one because they announced a year and a half before they were leaving. It is tough when theyre building a plant it is tougher than before they start or make an announce i want to thank united technologies. Weve been meeting with a lot of companies. But what really is happening is the word is now out. When you want to move if youre just joining us on mornings on 2 the 9, we are in the middle of a News Conference by president elect donald trump talking about business, talking about health care. We continue to listen in. Its not going to happen that ways in did i more. If you want to move your plant and you think as an example youre going to build that plant in mexico and make your air conditioners or your cars or whatever youre making and youre going to sell them through what will be a very, very strong border, not a weak border like now. We dont have a border. It is an open sieve. Sis not going to happen. Youre going to pay a very large border tax. If you want to move to another country and if you want to fire all of our Great American workers that got you there in the first place, you can move from michigan to tennessee an
@type":"Organization
archive.org
@type":"ImageObject
800
600
//ia903208.us.archive.org/29/items/KTVU_20170111_150000_KTVU_Mornings_on_2_at_7am/KTVU_20170111_150000_KTVU_Mornings_on_2_at_7am.thumbs/KTVU_20170111_150000_KTVU_Mornings_on_2_at_7am_000001.jpg
@type":"Organization
