When she heard the 7yearold screaming, she runs in and sees whats happening and she immediately grabs her baby and basically saves his life because if she didnt take a quick approach, you know, it would have been a different story. Reporter the mother called 911 and had the older son let the dog outside. Concord police say when they arrived and tried to move the boy from the house into an ambulance, the dog acted aggressively. Officers fired three shots, killing the dog. An 80pound German Shepherd named charlie. The woman says was 16 months old and had been the familys pet since it was a puppy. Really surprising to mom. I mean the dog has never been aggressive at all, not even at the dog parks from what she is telling us. Reporter when we were out in the neighborhood in concord, passerbyes told us they had seen the family dog and it never seemed aggressive, although they have seen other aggressive pit bulls on the same property in the front unit.
