A California Gas Company says it leak that has caused thousands of evacuations. The leak from a Natural Gas Storage field in the Santa Susana Mountains was discovered last october. In december, the southern California Gas Company began drilling a relief well toward the base of the leaking well. Workers completed that project yesterday. Today marks one mother, tammy meyers was gunned down. And the man accused of her death, erich nowsch is awaiting trial next month. On february 12th, meyers was shot outside her home. She died a few days later at the hospital. The story has had many twists and turns over the last year. 20 year old nowsch and his friend Derrick Andrews are being tried in the case. Andrews is accused of driving while nowsch allegedly shot meyers. The two have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and attempted murder.
