No word on how many people will be here at the pavillion today. But the venue holds just over 65hundred people. It seems like clinton and trump are visiting Southern Nevada every few weeks and i dont have to tell you about their roundthe clock commercials. But many states arent being bombarder by ads or events, nevada is a swing state and yes just like it sounds, nevada is one of the few states that could swing the outcome of our next president. Let me show you how. Real clear politics polls divide states into four groups. From solid support of one particular candidate to direction. As of now they have clinton in the lead by forty electoral votes. But its the gray states both candidates are fighting for, the toss up states. These are the 13 states where the race is too close to call. 168 electoral votes are up for grab that could push either candidate to the white house. But here is an interesting statistics ive found. Since 1992 maine, michigan, minnesota, pennsylvania and wisconsin have voted democratic in every election. If we add their 60 electoral votes to clintons total she is just 5 point shy of the magic 270 needed to win. The remaining 8 states are those really states are those really unpredictable swing states, including nevada, and among them 108 electoral votes. In my scenario where these five blue states continue therere traditional voting habits trump would need all remaining 8 states to win. But if nevada goes clinton, our 6 electoral votes to swing her over the magic mark, hence nevada is a swing state. Since the race is tight remember three things. Sample polls sometimes get it wrong, governors go against the popular vote like what happened in 2000, and nobody can calculate the silent opinion voter. A person who shares one opinion in public but votes a different way inside the voting booth. Like peter says your vote really matters here.
