For many of them this was the First National disaster theyve ever responded to. It was a chilly homecoming wednesday afternooon for this Iowa National guard convoy. Jumping out of the truck when we first crossed over was really cold just hours prior these soldiers were in missouri, providing relief to flood victims who have been without clean water for weeks. The areas we got to see it was carnage. We saw a trailer house in a baseball field and it was picked up and moved to a row of Trees Private first class William Taylor used to live near the Missouri State line he says he knows a lot of people in missouri get his boots on the ground. We didnt stop for a whole lot, we had a mission to do, the soldiers used these trucks to pump more than 300 thousand gallons of clean water to water towers.
