This was the scene that captivated a lot of people today. Tonight two window washers are safe after this dramatic high rise rescue at one World Trade Center in new york city. They became trapped on a scaffold dangling from the new skyscraper after one of the cables malfunctioned near the 68th floor this afternoon. They were clinging to life on the side of the 104 floor tower for more than an hour before firefighters were able to cut through a window and pull them to safety. Authorities were in communication with the workers during this rescue. Cable doctors not break. The slack developed on the west side of the scaffolding. Causing it to go to that position.
