Reporter well, chris people are fired up in south philadelphia tonight. Rumors are swirling that the next cass zone know could possibly go in their neighborhood right near the sports complexes. Were tired of being dumped on. This is not the dump any more. Roar report there was no shortage of outrage as fear that is a second city casino is going to land in their neighborhood had many out fever pitch. Fire was then stoked when union leader John Dougherty implied neighbors share some of the blame that their neighborhood was being considered as the location for a casino at packer avenue and dare yen street. The pennsylvania gaming control board will hold a Public Meeting on november 18th and that is when its expected the location and developers of the second casino will be selected. I have over 100 parents in our school that are opposed to this casino possibly being open near our school. Reporter neighbors worry a casino will bring crime and traffic. South philly has enough. Reporter ever since the proposed Foxwoods Casino and columbus boulevard fell through, the gaming board started looking for another site, but critics are wondering if a second casino in the city is even needed. Their message loud and clear, todd, thank you developing right now police are speaking with witnesses after a deadly shoo shooting in south philadelphia. Officers responded to the 600 block of went ton street just after 7 00 oclock. A 35 year old man was shot in the head and pronounced dead. A vick year old man was also wounded and is in critical condition. Casings from two guns were found at the scene. Police arent sure if there were multiple shooters. This was the scene that captivated a lot of people today. Tonight two window washers are safe after this dramatic high rise rescue at one World Trade Center in new york city. They became trapped on a scaffold dangling from the new skyscraper after one of the cables malfunctioned near the 68th floor this afternoon. They were clinging to life on the side of the 104 floor tower for more than an hour before firefighters were able to cut through a window and pull them to safety. Authorities were in communication with the workers during this rescue. Cable doctors not break. The slack developed on the west side of the scaffolding. Causing it to go to that position. The wind was blowing as well. So must have been terrifying that are those men. When i see Something Like that thats scary i wouldnt want to be them. Heres a look from inside one World Trade Center after those workers were rescued. The skyscraper opened at the sight of the twin towers just last week. European scientists land unmanned space craft and comet traveling nearly 84,000 miles an hour and whats more its over 300 million miles from earth. Cheers went up in the European Space agencys Mission Control when the space craft made a rough landing on the comet. The discovery was made on tuesday at wreak Community Recycling on railroad avenue in farming dale borough, monmouth county. Some blood stained clothes were found near those remains. Police hope someone may recognize them and be able to help identify the mother of that child. Anyone with any information is asked to call police. Well an investigation is underway a toddler drowns in a daycare sents gold fish pond. The owner of the daycare on scharr lane in Millville Cumberland county tells police that on tuesday she noticed a 15 month old boy missing. After she return to the yard from tending to another child. She then found him in the pond and called 911. That daycare has since been closed. The first person in sentence in pennsylvania under a new law named for fallen plymouth in that Police Officer brad fox. 22 year old Stacey Dawson of chester will serve six to 12 years for the straw purchase of two guns for her boyfriend a convicted felon. The brad fox law calls for a minimum of five years hyped bars for anyone who straw purchase as gun. Fox was killed by a man involved in a straw purchase. Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set on the 200 block of washington avenue this morning. The suspect in the abduction of a philadelphia woman made his first appearance in federal court today. Delvin barnes is accused of abductioning Carlesha Gaither off a street in germantown. But when the bills start arriving, you might feel sick all over again. Its not right. It is sneaky. Reporter jamie howard a tech manager in philadelphia had pounding headaches. He went to an emergency room for what he thought was a complication from a sinus if he can. They did some tests, said he was okay and sent him home from an antibiotic. Four months later i get this bill in the mail. I owe them a thousand dollars. Reporter jamie had already made his deductible for the hospital bill. He made sure he went to an in Network Facility that would be covered by his insurance. He was shocked to find out the doctors in the emergency room were out of network. You go and tell you you have a deductible you assume everything is covered. Reporter nobody told you that the doctors were separate . Never. Never even mentioned. Theyre actually not employees of the hospital which blows my mine. Reporter growing number of hospitals higher outside companies to provide emergency room doctors who have their own arrangements with insurance companies. So patients get separate bills both in and out of Network Charges. Its just not fair to the patients. Reporter dr. Kelly, a researcher at New York University did a study that found the problem of unexpected out of Network Charges affects an estimated 3 million americans each year. No one ever thinks ill choose to see a doctor in emergency that doesnt take my insurance. That doesnt make any happen. Its called surprise billing. Antoinette helps people navigate medical bills and Health Insurance. I think its hard to figure out. I think most of the folks this happens to they dont realize what the situation is or how they could even go about fixing it. The parties involved do their best to make it confusing.
