Poconos. You can see the piles of snow clinging to trees because it was wet, it was soupy, and it was very heavy. Right now, were seeing temperatures cool down very quickly. On storm scan3 really not much left to this and temperatures are quiet. In philadelphia 37 degrees. 37 in wilmington. Arthritic in allentown. 29 in the poconos so below freezing already. We do have northwesterly winds as our storm is off the coast of new england now. You can see between five and 15 miles an hour and they will slacken off during the overnight hours so the big story is the cool down this is a look at what well wake up to. In parking lots, sidewalks youve got this mess, this slushy slop that is all just going to turn to ice as we go through the overnight hours. Its not ice now. The still just wet but lot of people will be out and about early on thanksgiving morning heading to their destinations and youve got to watch for those slippery spots. Were still at 35. 4 degrees its actually a fivetenths of a degree warmer than it was 10 00 oclock. Lets take look at snow amounts as i mentioned we got about 3inches here in the colleg collegeville area. Weve been up and down this end tarry John Collegeville towards graterford limerick and seeing a decent amount of snow allentown with for. 8. But as we traveled up and down through this region everybody we talked to said they were impacted in some way by todays winter storm. Heavy wet sloppy snow blanketed north and west sections of our region on wednesday. In collegeville the snow prompterred pre thanksgiving cleanup as shovels and plows were deployed and led to travel slow downs. We were coming in from philadelphia we just went of in to visit friends coming home took longer than it usually would have. Reduced my speeds and played it safe. It was a snowy slushy mess that kept contractors busy throughout the night in chester county. Most of the accumulation into the evening hours here was in the parking lots and driveways. Its been snowing here since about 1 00 oclock. It hasnt stopped since. We constantly trying to keep up with it. Were falling behind. Kale hal the pleasure of brushing off snow off her car after working all day when she drove to work from elkton maryland she worried about the ride home. When i fir crossed the border into pennsylvania when it first starred to turn into snow from rain. It was mostly sleet at that point. Philadelphia international tells Eyewitness News theyve had about 20 cancellations tonight. 10 out bound, 10 inbound. In all today, flight aware. Com says the storm caused more than 250 delays. And 170 cancellations here in philadelphia. Plenty of other people catching trains out of philly for the holiday. Heres look at 30th street station where riders dealt with delays throughout the day. Today police found her body and tonight her stepfather was arraigned for her murder. Eyewitness News Reporter matt rivers has the latest from northampton. Reporter Jessica Padgett disappeared last friday. Her alleged killer her stepfather was charged with her murder five days later. He did admit that he intentionally and knowingly caused the death of the victim. Greg gary graph was at his northampton home when she arrived friday morning to sent a fax. A confrontation began ending with graph shooting padgett in the back of her head as to why theres clearly some motive that involves a sexual assault. Reporter during his confession, he also told investigators he buried her body behind a shed on his property. Thats where police found her wednesday morning. Its just been i really have a hard time putting words to it. Reporter jim wilkins lived across the street from padgett a woman he called kind hearted he organized search parties in the days following her disappearance groups he says included gregory graph. Tonight the comments on that page turned from hopeful to tearful remembering Jessica Padgett. Unfortunately theres three children now that are left. Left behind without a mom, you know. She was a beautiful, vibrant young woman who was beloved by her family and friends District Attorney here in northampton also telling us he is considering the possibility of seeking the Death Penalty in this case. The last remaining victim of a murder suicide last week 11yearold alexander march are you man died at Cooper University hospital.
