Police say a small group of teenagers were gathered on the front steps of a home after a barbecue. When someone opened fire oh and them. It appears that the shots were intentionally fired at this group. Not only was this female struck multiple times, two bullets entered a window of a house right where she was standing. John gremlin of indiana grew his retirement in order to give back to veterans in need. His goal was to direct. He want to do provide a home for vet that is were currently homeless. We use self directeddism ra as an entity to own the properties. So its not only an invest many for me but its also an investment in the people that we house. John didnt want to rent out for the sake of making money he wanted to make a difference he contacted local veteran agencies, told them about his plan to put homeless vets in homes, and the support and gratitude quickly came. One homeless vet lynette hatcher had been homeless for ten years. Had always been me and my children, um, in and out of homeless shelters and stuff like that. Um, but i never had to live by myself. Reporter lou miller is another vet who with the help of Gremlins Program has now had his own place for the past three months. You know when you at a ballgame and stand up with your hand over your heart and you get that warm feeling when theyre playing god bless of america thats the kind of feeling that gives me when john stands up and helps the vets. What does john say. All of them is served time in the military and its a way i can give back to them. It is a way you can give back indeed. Mr. Gremlin says if we can look out for the less fortunate if we have the capability to do so then we have a responsibility to humanity to do just that. John is currently housing 23 once homeless veterans. I love that. Its interesting someone may watch that story and think of doing the same thing. Yes. Thats exactly what i was thin thinking when i saw that. I was thinking its funny how one little pebble thrown in sends a ripple everybody and it can touch so many people. Absolutely.
