Eyewitness News Reporter Cleve Paterson is live in allentown to bring us up to date steve. Reporter chris, we spoke to the woman who called police during a Home Invasion when this all started. She said it wasnt first time she heard her neighbors fighting but she never knew it would be the last. She says it started with screaming but she hopes today she saved a life. A lot of yelling, help me, help me, and then i heard some banging. Reporter that is what neighbor Jennifer Brown woke up to monday morning screams of terror from next door. I went over to the wall and i banged back and i said im calling police. Reporter police say it was 42 yearold Jerome Nichols who stabbed his exgirl friend during a Home Invasion in west cat sock was shortly after 3 00 monday morning. With police in pursuit nichols fled town crashing into this Industrial Drive embankment in allentown. The officers attempted to take him into custody and he fled. Reporter it is when police say a Police Officer caught up with nichols. When he tried to make an arrest the officer was stabbed several times. Seeing this a Pennsylvania State trooper, and second officer, shot and killed nichols. I can say with a high degree of assurance preliminary basis that the shooting incident that involved both catsack was Police Officer and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper appears to be certainly justified. Reporter both the officer and victim are expected to fully recover. Police say it is because of quick thinking in the face of several acts of violence. Im hoping that i saved her life. Work place shooting in Burlington County new jersey has left a person dead and another in Critical Condition tonight. Violence happened at Shields Business Solutions which is a Security Company in Moorestown Police say that the two workers got into an argument this morning. The shooter, whom they have identified as Edgar Figueroa a shot the victim several times critically injuring him. Some employees saw something, our detectives in the county a and county detective are trying to determine exactly who saw what at this time. Police say figueroa later turn the gun on himself. He died. They say the argument was domestic in nature. Investigators say a fire inside of a Cheyney University dorm roomies arson. They say a person tried to set a students belongings on fire in tubman hall early sunday. They were unoccupied at the time. Cheyney Security Officer was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and chest pain and now more than 100 students are in temporary housing.
