Reporter martins response is culmination of years of restoration, before Johnson Cemetery Memorial Park was an honored ground for fallen africanamerican troops it was just johnson park, the graves, of men who gave their lives for freedom were buried for decade and covered in trash forgotten. Things that have been neglected for years and years and years now coming forward and blossoming. Reporter friday a dedication ceremony for the fallen, and a rededication, for the care in which they are honored, korean war veteran Gilbert Nelson says it is focus of the city. This is long time overdue for the the cemetery, really, and for the the city of camden this depicts what is happening in the city of camden. Reporter here are the graves of more than 120 war veterans and prominent African Americans buried in camden, rediscovered by grade schoolers. That i can say is that the people buried here are more than just dead, they are living verbs.
