Two men now in custody and Philadelphia Police are searching for a third suspect, involved in last nights altercation. Meanwhile, here at penn presbyterian this morning, this officer who was shot is now recovering. Hes list in the stable condition, although he lost a lot of blood, he is expected to survive. Take a look at the video. This officer was shot right around 9 00 last night near the intersection of 59th and Market Street in west philadelphia. It all started when a woman flagged down 24 year old officer James Mccullough and his partner. She told them two men were trying to steel her car. Now, as the officers approached, the two suspect got out that far car and took off. Police say officer mccullough tackled one of the men, was immediately shot in the leg. As that suspect ran away again, police say officer mccullough returned fire, shooting three times. Now, those two suspect were eventually caught by other officers. Officer mccullough meanwhile applied a torn kit to himself which helped save his live. Take a listen. And that car also had bullet holes in it. Police have identified the man accused of shooting and killing a four year old, in kensington. Investigators say, Maurice Phillips shot the girl saturday, in a East Mayfield street home. Police say he told them it was an accident. At first he allegedly told investigators the girls five year old sibling was playing with the gun when it went off. Phillips now faces charges including third degree murder and inch volume un tear manslaughter. In other news, fire fight is her injured overnight, battling a house fire in upper darby. The law covers 17 conditions that can be treated using medical marijuana including seizures, als, cancer and chronic pain.
