So a record shark day as we had anticipated but we over achieved by an extra degree in the forecast. Today, also a very mild day. Not the same warmth we saw but we are forecasting to hit 77, record is 80. Probably no record here today but we do flirt with that record today and that record 81 setback this 1938. Long standing one as well. Sixtyfive is your current temperature, normal daytime high on this day of the year. Very hield beginning to the daze up and down i95 and even throughout lying suburbs, pine land, western suburbs toward farm country in reading in the 60s and lehigh valley. So off to certainly a cool start but hield information the standard. You can see showers beginning to bubble up just outside of our viewing area here off to the north and west especially. Would i say, berks, Lancaster County western clip of Lehigh County can have a quick shower toward tail end of the morning rush but generally speaking things are in the clear for dry weather for the ride to school or work or where ever your child is going to day but eventually for your ride home on the bus for kid, upper 70s. Perhaps a shower in some sots. If you send the kid out the door with an umbrella you will be okay. Tomorrow, maybe a different story which we will discuss later in the show, meisha. Thank you so much. Great to know, good morning, happy thursday, to you, looking at the schuylkill, take a look, headlights moving in the eastbound direction near conshohocken curve, now moving in the eastbound direction and westbound direction we are certainly starting to heat up. Far cry there what we saw, all 30, 35 minutes ago. So we are heating up on the schuylkill. Ninetyfive south, kind of the same story but heating up as quickly as what we saw but 95 this is southbound direction this is what you are looking at moving in the northbound side and barely even looking at it as you push northbound. Ninetyfive taillights moving in the northbound direction, this is what were looking at there. If we looked at everything around the airport, it looks like they are on time but i would check your schedule on line. No reports of any delays. The construction here this is in new falls township, new tyburn road westbound ramp to old bristol pike is still closed. Heads up for those in that neck of the wood, rahel and jim, back over to you. Well, there were fire works, and insults in vegas in 2016 president ial race. Candidates and their teams are now back on the campaign trail, in key states following last nights third and final president ial debate. Hillary clinton and donald trump went toe to toe for 90 minutes on issues like russia, economy and immigration. Most controversial moment of the night when trump refused to say whether he would accept the outcome of the election, should he lose. That comment immediately true condemnation from some lawmakers on both side of the aisle. Our Nicole Brewer sat with the panel of voters as they watch final debate. She spoke with what they saw were the nights biggest moments. We invited these folks to our cbs3 studios as part of the focus group, really it was a diverse. Some of them voted for trump, some say clinton, others say they are this is voting for either one and others are just undecided but we did see wig moments out of this debate. One was relevant i on from the republican nominee donald trump when asked about immigration he did very well with this group with accessing the heroin problem and dealing with the drug lords, but things took a turn when he used the spanish word foreman, take a look. We will secure the border and once the border is secured at a later date we will make a determination as to the rest but we have some bad hohbre is here and eel get them out im standing by with one of our voters on our panel tonight, this is michaelerso. You are a trump supporter but you had a negative reaction to his comments. Yes, he has got good ideas, interesting directions he wants to take the country but every time he seeks we get sidetracked by these juvenile type comments and we dont get to focus the issue at hand. I wish he had a better filter on word he choose to use so we dont get sidetracked. We do a rebater your comment, thanks very much. Another big moment was when candidates discussed their opponents fitness to be president , they traded jabs, trump challenge the ethics of the clinton foundation, and Hillary Clinton brought up the fact that trump wont release his tax returns. Why dont you give back the honey that you have taken there certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly. He is first candidate ever to run for president , in the last 40 plus years to have not released his tax returns. Standing by another one of our voters, part of our panel, we have Kathy Thompkins here and you say it was an interesting moment for you because you feel this campaign focused more on the individual, less on the issues. Yeah, i think we have established that both candidates have problems, and maybe both parties arent exactly thrilled about their candidate of choice but i think what we need to see more office policy. We need to hear her about what these candidate are standing for help they are talking about gun control, abortion, immigration. These are all issues we should be focused more on rather than these personal attacks back abe for the. Notice there were a lot of one liners, what did you think of that. I dont know, it just takes away like mike was saying from the actual issues at hand and it is getting juvenile. It is hard and advertise tracking to watch the debate when it is constantly personal attacks back and forth. Kathy, thank you. Final moment for this particular group came there that same section, fitness to be president , and we saw a huge jump for clinton, when she spoke about trumps assertion the election is rig, take a listen. He didnt get an emmy for his tv program, three years in a row and started tweeting that the emmys were rig. I should have gotten it. This is a mind set, this is how donaldtories,. This is cars, you had a certain reaction to clinton taking trum top task over a rigged election. Yes, i was really excited for clinton for headaching that distinction because often times we for get about the president as people. Hillary clinton basically saying that donald trump claims something to be rigged is basically who he is. If he will get upset and claim that something is unfair we dont really need that person in the presidency. We need a president that is comfortable and in uncomfortable situations and that is what Hillary Clinton was saying. You are a clinton support tore make that clear. Yes. I will bring in another guest. This is hillary, from mag in a legal services. You provide technology, the data that we saw, hand held devices that our 19 voters had to track their reaction and you noticed interesting trend, one of them was men verse women. Yes, we were able to use have in a jury Consulting Technology to measure howtive rent groups within your voter set reacted. So, we saw that male voters were very much more likely to be favoring trump then female voters on quite a few different issues as they went through those categories, that Chris Wallace discussed. So we had the fitness for president category, that was important, we saw that for men, they were tied just about evenly when they responded to who they thought was better on that issue, the hen were tied but women were strongly in favor of Hillary Clinton at issue. This is representative sample, but what does this say about womens reaction to these candidates first. I think that shows us, how differently Hillary Clinton find her base in female support, when you look also at the other issues the economy, fitness for president , in general, the supreme court, she has better scores we can say with the female population, at least in this group today. Really quickly and we do to have wrap this up people want to focus on the issues but when they have a one liner, from each candidate, i mean they really react. Umhmm, you could see just a significant burst in their reactions, they like it, they are interested this it and it toss help them remember what is going on with the issues but may not have staying power with them in the voting booth. Thank you to the focus groups. Thanks for being part of this tonight. All right. Very interesting insights there. As we have come to learn there are development every day even every hour on campaign 2016. Stay up to dayton cbs3. Meanwhile up next philly pops are honoring the king. Our justin finch shows us a sneak peak of their new tribute to elvis, pat. Good morning, guys. We are over in Washington Township new jersey, mike perez, duckfield disco. Who is he exactly . A hundred and sixty miles down the road in dc, Brian Fitzpatrick will put his party first, not pennsylvania families. House majority pac is responsible for the content of this advertising. Sixtytwo is milder, near pine land, mark is at 62 under clear skies. Even despite clear sky it is still very hyle. Sixtythree, as we see here, few more cloud from pete inner lawrenceville but 63 to start off is close to a typical daytime high. Lets take you to one more, we will zero in on, in delaware where we are at 62 from jason. He is fining nothing more than a couple clouds right now but nice mild beginning to the day. Well, spotlight is on the scare crows at one south jersey farm. It is all crafted by local students as part of the annual scare crow competition and this is last weekend to vote for your favorite. Eyewitness News Reporter pat gallen is live, in Washington Township new jersey to cast his ballot, pat, what say you. Reporter well, that is correct, i will cast high ballot. This is only lays you can bring together the statue of liberty, dark vader, michael phelps, ciman biles and sour patch kid. At duffields here this Washington Township, new jersey they have a cool competition and to tell us shore is tracie duffield, good morning. Good morning, how are you. Where does this idea stem from to headache these cool scare crows. We back in probably around 1999 2,000 we had a scare crow contest opened to the public. We wound up getting five entries and we had an i am ago, one scare crow was stolen. Wait, wait a scare crow was stolen. And what went into that. It got involved, where we had to file a Police Report and everything. It was stolen scare crow, okay. And it actually won. But anyway next year we decided we do like to do a lot of the part they are ships with our Washington TownshipSchool District so we thought it would be cool if the fifth grade every class could headache a scare crow and we could pick them up and put them on display and over month of october people can come in and cast their ballot, and winning class gets to come and take a hey ride and have a pizza party. This is really involved. We have some really cool looking scare close, great imagination here. We have awesome scare close, every year they come up with some great ideas. You have been doing this since 1999, 2,000. Yes. It has evolved and new we have 24 different scare crows which is cool. Exactly. There has been as many as 36 but just depend how many fifth grade classes they are but it is a great thing for the family, families come out and put their vote in and it brings out, you know, aunts, uncles, cousins, and it is fun. How do you vote for it if people want to get involved and they like hussein bolt here they want to vote for that how do you do it. We have a ballot box and you put your favorite number, put your favorite number on the ballot and cast your ballot. Awesome. Chase i, thanks. Look at this we have hussein bolt, we have car hello anthony from team u. S. A. , simon bile is here. Look at this. I mean this is awesome. I cant come up with things like this. Im not smart enough.
