Many are still without power. The governor has declared a state of emergency, in nine counties. A reporter covering texas flooding became part of the story. He waited until flood waters to help a man escape from a sinking car, you can see the man struggling to swim, as a reporter rushes to his aid. All while the reporter held on to his microphone, started end viewing the man, as he gasps for breath. Here is another dramatic rescue, dozens of horses, became trapped in high water near a houston stable. Several volunteers leap into the water armed with ropes, boats, to help the horses reach dry land. I think thats amazing, im so glad they were able to help these animals. Theyre helpless, you no, maam, when Something Like this happens. And thats a pattern, isnt this a pattern thats going across the country, katy . Essentially, basically whats happening here, we have this blocking mechanism in place, where weve had beautiful weather for days, days, days, poor folks across the deep south, i mean being look what theyve been dealing with, 24hour loop, the casino every rain thats pushed through here; just incredible, and that video, i mean, jaw dropping, just when i think ive seen it all, unbelievable flooding down across houston yesterday. And again, we will let the loop play one more time for you. Unreal, the kind of heavy rainfall intensity that just completely engulfed the i10 corridor in that section of the state. So, thankfully, theyve chance to dry out at least little bit. Some of the flood watt kerr recede. But still looking at storminess here across the central plane. We still in the meantime are basically under the influence of High Pressure, and also cold front dropping south, see how it is fizzling up across upstate new york, so we stay dry here today. High pressure is going to take the place of that cold front passing through, very weak cold front. So back to sunshine tomorrow, staying little breezy, temperatures take modest hit, back to the 60s frankly where we should be, then come thursday and specially friday, that storm system that we just showed you expands over the central planes, that start to move in. So thursday, overall, actually looks pretty good. Start with sun, clouds builds in, overnight into friday, the rain starts to move back in. So we will be dodging showers, maybe some pockets of heavy rain, maybe couple every thunderstorms, windy warm that day, temperatures back to the 70s, meantime, beautiful. Lovely start to the morning here, the light of day starts to pop, overbroad heads ville, live look at the Pleasant Valley middle and high schools there, campus at broads heads ville. I joust of just got my cbs3 rain jacket. Nice. Excited all geared up. And i have my collar continue, and thats all i need. The roads . Nothing to sneeze at. Oh, wow, that was great. No, nothing to sneeze at. I would say that volume levels starting to build right now. We do have one accident, just happened out, there really what weve been dealing with all week long so far, nice dry roadways, but weve had a lot of construction because of t so, what you are looking at right now an accident pulled all the waff to the right shoulder, on the boulevard, approaching wissahickon, moving in the southbound direction, just make note of this, it isnt blocking any lanes, but what we typically see with this sort of thing specially 6 00 hour if this happened put off to the shoulder we start to get little gaper delay, a lot of people tapping the brakes, taking peak whats going on, dont do, that just keep ongoing right by, just make note, it is on there. Schuylkill eastbound at city avenue, what you are looking at moving in the eastbound direction, certainly heating up. We though, that we were even in the 5 00 hour. In the westbound side, just behind these trees, you can see, all the brake lights going off. So the schuylkill, no matter what direction you are going in, now in the 6 00 hour, you are slowing down. The boulevard moving in the southbound direction, approaching the schuylkill, this is what you are looking at there, tapping the brakes, to get on to the schuylkill, 95 south, before girard, this is another area as you move into center city now starting to heat up. So i would say just thinking about leaving your homes, i dont know, just give yourself a little extra time, jim, over to you. Thanks so much, meisha a now to site thats truly out of this world.
