Lets talk about tropics. We have had Tropical Storm colin now a post Tropical Storm. This is most active start to the atlantic Hurricane Season since 2012. So far through today we have had three named storms, one out alice was a hurricane. Average through july 9th we had one named and zero hurricanes before july 9th. Most acknowledge i have parties late august into september. Early start does not technically mean an active season. Remember last year we got off to a fast start as well. We had Tropical Storm in may but then everything fizzled and below average season. 2012, however, active start and active finish as well. There is a chance that this could mean things will get more active as we head in the months of august and september. Generally speaking in the early season most storms form where colin did in the eastern gulf of mexico what we call home grown systems. Moving through florida or along the coast of texas.
