Now lets check back with justin because justin what a night it has been. Hopefully things are starting to calm down a little bit. As far as our weather, yes, were not dealing with precipitation but a lot of wind to deal w the lets go back 12 hours ago where it was a quiet start. Lets look at this line of storms that blew up around 11 30 last night and moved into south jersey. Now we have just cold air and a few snow showers in some spots and those strong storms, a actually did cause some damage, lot of hail reports and even some trees down. In newark delaware trees did fall on a house, there was a lightening strike in owe december a delaware that caused a fire in upper darby, penny sized hail, west chester also some large trees down. These are just some reports. We are seeing a lot of reports across the region in south jersey and delaware of strong wind gust was those storms. Still, we will be dealing with windy conditions throughout the daytoday, behind that cold front, sustain wind near 30 miles an hour this morning gusting to 60 potentially. That is why high wind warning is in effect until noon time today. Afternoon it gets better. Still wind which high win gusts up to 40 miles an hour and then tonight those wind do relax, sustained wind down around 15 miles an hour. So why all of the wind . Well, we have last nights arctic cold front associated with low pressure start to energize, early this morning as it slowly moves off to the north and east and then we will have strong High Pressure building from the south and west, that pressure difference, between the high and low that causes the strong wind. So were right in the middle here so were dealing with that west northwesterly wind flow and coming out of the canada ushering in colder air. Thirtyeight at the airport. Forty in millville. Thirtythree allentown, reading and then colder to the north and west. Twentyseven in cleveland. Twentyeight in chicago. Brief cool down today, were going to rapidly warm things up in the Morning Hours tomorrow. The heres why. We will deal with sunshine today, and just windy, cold, tonight, cloud start to increase ahead of the next storm system and then we will kick up wind out of the south tomorrow morning bringing in milder air and initially the morning is dry, maybe some light rain, possible for the morning ride up towards the Lehigh Valley and poconos. In the afternoon is best chance to see showers. We could linger in the Early Morning commute. By late evening that system is off shore and we will start to break clouds up again but we will see another surge of colder air building in behind that system. Were not talking about a whole lot of rain and it doesnt look like we will be dealing with thunderstorms as well but rainfall amounts around a quarter inch or less potentially with this next system. Todays high mid 40s, maybe upper 40s in the warm spots with some sunshine and just stays windy. The tonight, we will initially drop down to the 30s but early tomorrow morning around sunrise those temperatures will start to rise and we are approaching lower 60s. Maybe mid 60s in the the far south jersey and delaware where we will see more sunshine and that last little bit longer in the morning during the rain moving in. Today windy, chilly, temperatures ten to 15 degrees below average at 47 degrees. And then tonight still cold, 38, breezy at times, those wind sustained 15 to 20 abe the extended forecast around 60 tomorrow. Watch out for afternoon showers, we are back to sunshine on tuesday but gets cold again with highs in the mid 40s and couple cold mornings ahead, temperatures in the 20s in the suburbs to freezing in the city. End of the week another storm brings showers thursday into friday and then chilly again next weekend highs only in the 40s, rahel, back to you. Time is 7 18. Lets see how traffic is moving with ann evans in the cbs3 Traffic Center. Folks have been treating me on twitter saying wind are crazy. It is very windy. Speaking of the debris is there a fallen tree in Burlington Township taking ben franklin bridge to 295 southbound between route 541, mount holly exit and mount Holly Willingboro exit. It is passable with care. An accident cleared in Egg Harbor Township that involved a fallen tree in the parkway southbound, south of the great egg tolls and another down tree on delsea drive between goshen swinton road and beaver dam road and that whole area is closed because tree is just so big and right in the middle of the highway. It is in Chester County but still you had should be mentioned. We have a no delays on problems he. Very windy conditions. You can see camera shaking but everything is moving just fine. We will move traffic cam one more time to the mid county tolls, pennsylvania turnpike, and heading to the northeast extension or pennsylvania turnpike, no delays this morning.
