Justin, thank up, new this morning, an investigation is underway, after a minivan was pulled from the Delaware River. Cherri gregg live along columbus boulevard, where cherry medical teams just arrived within the last hour, what can you tell us . Good morning, rahel, medical unit just left the scene, just moments ago, but police are still here, discussing the finds that they had earlier this morning, the marine unit have packed up, after spending the past couple of hours, searching the Delaware River, the body of the person believed to have been inside of buick rendezvous pulled from the river around 5 00 a. M. This morning. Just about a half hour ago. A man who was interviewed by police says the vehicle are believed to be his brother, now, police say they got the call just before 3 00 a. M. , about a car, that had sped down oregon avenue, across columbus boulevard, ripped through the gate here at the shipyard, and then plunged into the Delaware River with a huge splash. Police fire, marine units, arrived on the scene, and immediately began searching the river, sent divers who had to look through merky water with almost zero visible, and found the vehicle within minute, and by 5 00 a. M. , tow truck pulled it from the water. The vehicle broke apart, and rescue workers pulled it out of the delaware, the front of the vehicle is really damaged, front bumper was ripped off, the windshield smashed, and tires missing, but they did not finds a body. So here is captain Mark Overwise from the thirds district, heres what he said they learned from witnesses. Told the officers, this they were stopped at the light, Christopher Columbus boulevard, vehicle traveling at high rate of speed, oregon avenue, crashed through the gate, and they didnt see the vehicle after that. They exited the vehicle, the witnesses did, and look through the vehicle corks not see it, so they called 911. Now, as you can see, Police Marine units making one final drag of this section of the river, we understand that the tide was in earlier this morning, so, any body of the an individual that was likely in the individual could have washed out to sea, so, at this point, they are not very optimistic that theyll finds anything, and it could take couple of days before the individual who had been driving, who is believed to have been driving the suv, is located. Again, a man who had been interviewed by police say it is believed to be his brothers vehicle, that was found, that silver suv that was fuld from the river, but again, the marine units are going to be wrapping up any moment now, just because there is low visibility, and it is unlikely that theyll be successful in finding who ever was driving that vehicle. Would you think hey typically the hottest time of year. Not really. Yes the sun rays are the strongest right now, so we peak in solar radiation in the month of june, but takes a while to really heat up the air. Usually we see the hottest temperatures in the month of july. Mid to late july. Typically when we average into the upper 80s. And water takes a lot longer, good two month, you know that if you hit the shore. Right now ocean water temperatures in the 60s, but go to the shore late august into september, when they peak in the warmth, well into the 70s, that time of year. Little tip how things work with the Summer Season, sky conditions, looking good today. Mostly sunny right now, have some high thin serous clouds roll on through, but not going to produce any rain, so again, a lot of strong suns rays getting through, make sure to have the sun block on this afternoon if you are outside. Do have some storms out across innocent minnesota. Will start to track south and east, chance of showers tuesday. Cook dad some lunch or dinner tonight being break out the grill. It will be hot. But he deserves it, mostly sunny skies, forecast looks good, no threat of any rain hitting the shore, upper 70s to around 80 degrees today, and tomorrow, notice the increase in humidity on monday still lots every sunday shine around, then tuesday, few clouds return, maybe scattered shower or storm chance or in the low 80s, i wouldnt cancel your beach plans tuesday, because chance is still at this point are low from this cold front. I show this on future weather model. Today nothing happening. Mostly sunny conditions, tonight, little bit more muggy, and then tomorrow kind of same deal like today. Mostly sunny skies few clouds start to return later monday night. Tuesday we have this front coming on through, bringing little bit of shower activity through part of the area, again, scattered, perhaps thunderstorm, but chances look pretty low. Later this week, though, see another drop in the jet stream. That allows cooler air to return. So, dont get used to this warm spell. Ninety today. Tonight, more humid. And clear skies, 66, we keep it around 90 degrees through tuesday, then once that front moves through back below average low 80s, maybe shower on thursday, but rahel, something for everyone, there you have the heat and then pleasant by the end of the week.
