that believes in a democratic republic among my friends who happen to be republicans. when i spoke on the floor of the house yesterday, i said does anyone have the courage to be able to move forward on ensuring every american has the right to vote. i have been here in the united states congress and participated in the reauthorization that drew 98 senators, republicans and democrats, and over 415 in the house republicans and democrats and signed with a gleeful face by george w. bush. i was at the white house signing. i've been with other reauthorizations or changes and modifications to improve voting rights and it has been bipartisan. the climate today is a result of the big lie, which i said on the floor of the house. the insurrection on january 6th. and i don't think anyone that happens to be a republican should get an excuse for not voting to empower americans to vote. >> congresswoman sheila jackson
