What makes you think that you can really get the truth out of certain people youd like to have go under oath . Thomas, when i was a prosecutor, i would tell juries that we actually sometimes learned just as much when we prove that somebody is not telling the truth. When we saw that mike flynn had lied to the Vice President and Jeff Sessions had lied twice under oath about prior contacts, thats a consciousness of guilt. They were asked about important dealings with russia and both of them denied it and then later it was revealed. That actually shows that they were attempting to cover up their prior contacts.
